my gordon-keeble still in bits!
Discussion
Hi,here is a pic of my G-K car,no.11 out of 99 made.I`m keeping it ferrari red,I love that colour - goes great with the black trim. Its engine is small block Chevy 327 with a T-10 4spd `box.I`m gonna enjoy driving this - just don`t watch the fuel gauge.I am having stainless steel tanks made for this car,but as for the rest its pretty standard.Only other big upgrade is an ally rad with a 17" kenlowe fan, they can suffer from high temps under the bonnet.Have not got a time scale for completion but would like to finish it before the petrol runs out!
cheers from keeble kid.

Very nice!
Years ago my mates dad had a silver one and restored it (he owns a bodyshop and did it all himself)
That was mid 80's, and Ive not seen him for years now.
I remember going to a GK meet up in it somewhere, and Ive loved them ever since.
I had no idea they were so rare
No idea if there is an owners club or if he is in it, but his name is John Perkins.
One memory I do have of it is the twin fuel tanks, and how quickly they emptied!

Yep, one of my fantasy garage cars too.
Look and sound lovely with a proper aviational dashboard.
Hi,thanks for that the TVR looks great bet is sounds nice.I was surprised how many people said they liked G-K`s,most folk don`t know what they are. Look and sound lovely with a proper aviational dashboard.

Cheers, it's a bit jaded to be honest and a bit scabby round the front wings and bonnet where I've repaired cracks (not very well), but hopefully will be sorted during the winter months with the body taken off it, chassis restored and a nice respray and any other bits I can afford to get done. cheers from keeble kid

Remember reading about G-K's from a 1977 Thoroughbred & Classic Cars magazine when I was a kid, and had some of the pictures from it on my bedroom wall (11 years old at the time
), also remember reading Reggie Kray ordered one, but not sure if it actually got built or delivered to him, although I can't find anything on the internet about this.

I'm also told the 3-speeders could do 100mph in second gear!
Here is the Borg Warner T-10 4spd gearbox from the keeble, all checked and painted ready to go back in.It had a Hurst shifter fitted, that was horrible so I got an original Corvette shifter - looks much better. The gear stick is right over to the left and the clutches are heavy but apart from that its a really strong `box.
Hello
I’m wondering if anyone can help/shed some light, currently restpring a Gordon Keeble but it was taken apart long before I saw it, and got involved, the problem I have is petrol tank fixings, does anyone have/can anyone take some pictures for me of the Keeble petrol tank mounts/straps
Cheers Gareth

Photo was taken at the Black Swan classic car meet in January this year - next meet will be 14 April, so it might be worth going along!
