Another Alfa 156

Well, this is more like off-topic since we've sold it yesterday after more than five years of ownership. But for (future) nostalgic reasons we've made a small photoshoot of the car before handing it off and I wanted to share some pictures. OH's former pride and joy, Alfa 156 2.5.

I'm unsure on the wheels but generally I really like it. The shape of those Alfas is really pleasing to look at.

Wheel design may be a question of taste (they suited ours however), but unsprung weight definately isn't. Honestly, I was shocked by change in ride quality when fitted them in place of original teledials. Made a bigger difference than Koni sports vs original shocks. 6 kilo per wheel difference might explain it though.

What wheels are they? I think they look pretty good. 16's?

Desmond Regamaster Evo, 16" diameter and 7" wide. Only downside is they have 5x100 PCD and to make them fit to Alfas 5x98 hubs I had to use so-called wobble bolts.

Any problems with these wobble bolts? Never used them myself.

Nope, apart from fitting wheels being more of a hassle - you want to be sure bolts are positioned correctly. And of course you have to use hubcentric rings, but that's the case with almost any aftermarket wheels.

Lovely car OP! Always loved Alfas!

Think the wheels suit it too, very much like Rota Slipstreams and gives it a very motorsport look, which I prefer!

So this is the V6 right? Gonna need some pics...

These wheels are actually the ones Slipstream is a replica of . No engine pictures unfortunately, but nothing unusual to see there - a normal V6, maybe a bit dusty.
