Well as I was out taking pictures for prosperity of the Jag today, I wheeled out the MR2 into the sunlight for a few pics as well.
Nothing to much to report. It was resprayed back in 2002 or 2003, a long time ago and I can't really remember. I had only had it a year or so back then. Since then the seats and steering wheel have been changed.
The suspension is Koni SSK with polybushed through out. The brake pads are some Ferodo DS something or another as well. It has covered 138,000 miles, but other than a head gasket and regular servicing the engine has never given any troubles.
Its mainly used for car meets/shows and we normally do a touring holiday in it most years. Even after all these years though its still a great thing to drive. It likes nothing better than having it neck wrung on a quiet B road.
I'm a bit OCD when it comes to our cars and its a time consuming job.
If that hasn't bored you to tears yet the next to up will be the wife's cars. A 2004 smart Roadster and a 1987 205 Cti.

I'm not sure Byard, but its insured for £3500 on an agreed valuation. Its only worth what someone will give you for it.
I have definitely noticed I get more interest in it this year than years gone by. I nearly always end up stopping to chat to someone about it when I'm out and about.

They're a good laugh. Shame the rust proofing was so poor.
I know where your coming from. I have seen some shockers, rot wise, it was a surprise they were road legal. They're a good laugh. Shame the rust proofing was so poor.
I do get the feeling though they are starting to turn the corner value wise now and good ones are few and far between.
Great fun though.

Think you're right about prices. They'd already shot up over the prices of most Mk2 models a few years back when I sold up. I do get the feeling though they are starting to turn the corner value wise now and good ones are few and far between.

It just offered most things I wanted in a car, handling was lovely, fantastic steering and strong engine, great gearbox...
Mine broke down a lot though - corroded electrics to go with the replacement body panels!!

Unlucky there, fella. The only issue I have had electrically is the headlight motor contacts corroding up and not lifting the lights to full height. Other than that it has been spot on. On the gearbox front it has a brand new Toyota box fitted a couple of years back, still in a plastic bag on a toyota pallet. It was a corrola one but modding the housing was a mornings work in the machine shop. My price £300, toyota price 3200 euros!!.
