A few finished pics of my 1978 Escort Mexico. I'll not bore anyone with the details but it's just undergone a full nut and bolt restoration, to better than it left the factory. The only real modifications of note are the 2.0 pinto, five speed gearbox and power steering.

More please biggrin

I have one in my garage (albeit a rolling shell and parts stashed everywhere) that I really need to get started on,. if it looks a quarter the standard that yours is when done I will be a happy man cloud9

Thanks a lot for the kind comments.

This was a shell (not even 'rolling') and a few boxes of parts only a few months ago.

I'm pretty sure that's either permitted or is one of the standard fonts in NI.

I have updated the pics with some of the history I have for the car.

To be honest I never even noticed that the plate was any different to the rest, it's not something I would notice! But now that it's been pointed out, I quite like it biggrin

Is that one of the new electric type installations?
How do you find it?

No it's actually from a Corsa B. A lot of the Mk2 rally cars over here use the same set up. It was tough to fabricate it to suit the standard steering wheel, but as it's left now you couldn't even see it if you were looking for it, it's so well hidden.

It can be set to any strength, as it is now you could turn it with one finger. I can't really say how it is at speed yet though but I would assume it's fine.
