Hi,

No reason for the thread really, other than to share some pictures of the cars, which were all out of the garage today.

2004 Alfa 147 GTA - 31,000 mls
1991 MX5 Le Mans (of PH Heroes fame) - 88,000 miles
1987 Lancia Delta HF4WD - 115,000 km, purchased at CarFest North 'Pride & Joy' auction last week.

I'm quite excited about the arrival of the Lancia - I had one of these in the mid 90s; it's an HF4WD, so the very first iteration of the 2.0 Turbo 4WD Delta, which pre-dates the 'Integrale' tag by about 12 months. It's in remarkably good condition - I drove it back from Chester to Kent without issue and apart from a nasty oil leak (missing gasket, now sorted) has sailed through an inspection and an MOT. Clearly someone has spent a lot of time and effort on it..
woohoo

I'll try to keep this updated with regular reports...

The Lancia is very special and hopefully still LHD, look after that I doubt many original HF 4WDS still remain and yes the first production 4WD delta to start their Group A campaign after the halt of Group B.

Indeed it is - I thought they were all dead, to be honest!

It's one of the Mike Spence supplied and converted from new cars, so RHD. I'm still not used to it, but it seems like a pretty good job...

My first "proper" car was a Delta HF turbo. I've had the integrale dilemma many time since, but LHD has always put me off. How good is the conversion, could you please post interior pics?

Mike Spence... now that is a name from the past. Anyone remember the water injected Uno Turbo featured in either Autocar or Motor in the later 80s, early 90s? Bright red with a 55super badge on the back and standard tailgate so it a wolf in sheeps clothing. Lovely.

Lovely motors by the way OP. Remember those Mx-5s when they first came out.

The delta, was that the 165BHP 8 valve one? Or I am I barking up the wrong tree?

that mx5 is the beans. I'm assuming they're more than just a paintjob? certainly looks a bit low

Haha. That uno was insane. I remember an x1/9 with a tricked up UNO turbo engine which was always in Bazza's place - whenever you'd ask about it, he'd start swearing.

They were good guys...

Tell you what - the little 5 isn't far off the 147 on sound or go - the BBR turbo and the exhaust take car of that. music

It's not been around long, but I'm completely in love with it and how unusual it is.
