Winter runner v8 goodness

With winter fast approching if not already here I started thinking i need a car as my TVR is going of the road so i can pull it to bits again
I have use of our mini some times but it is a pain as if i need it for the day and SWMBO is working i need to drop her off pick her up.
So i made the executive decision to buy a 3rd car.
I always wanted a big 4x4 having never owned one so i had to tick it off in my petrol heads owned book. I started hunting for Pajero's and Terrano's But this beast poped up a few miles down the road and v8 you say
Rover V8 a engine i know well being a TVR fan it made total sense , Big and comfy on air suspension and for a meer £1500 with a years MOT nad 6 months tax i had to have it.
2 weeks on i found out it does around 13mpg No big deal as i only cover a few thousand miles a year and it is only 2mpg worse than my Cerbera
It is not perfect but it is solid a few little niggles but i don't care this is a hack!

Good luck with it. I have a 4.0l LPG Rangie, it is a very comfortable place to be. I did have a bit of hassle with the air suspension so converted it to coil overs. Unfortunately mine is turquoise and has blacked out windows, I thought i could live with it but I can't so it's going on the bay.
In all honestly though if you want a car for winter driving just stick winter tyres on your mini and it will be as good in most conditions. The problem with big rangies and such is that they slide very easily under breaking in the snow
