My first rear wheel drive car at 21 years old, loving it so far!

It's quick, sounds excellent and is even good on fuel.

Hardtop is also a major bonus in these conditions.

Sorry for the poor picture, it's also parked on a very steep driveway hence the slightly goofy rideheight!

Cheers, and nope! Believe it or not - slightly to the left of the Ka in that picture and just out of sight is an R53 mini cooper in a near identical shade!!

The Ka was resprayed in scuba blue (my sisters car) , you won't find another one in that shade!

Those wheels are slightly McLaren Mercedes SLR esque.

Look very nice though chief, what's the insurance like? If you don't mind me asking.

Lovely, I had one as my last car. Managed a 42.1 mpg run on a 400 mile round trip. Found it really enjoyable on the motorway. And when you're not, sport mode on a nice B Road! Get the sound generator mod done if you haven't already.

Very nice - but needs some bigger wheels in my humble opinion - those don't fill the arches enough

Yeah I was pleasantly surprised by the economy, my average hasn't yet dipped below 30! I'm clearly not trying hard enough Oh and insurance wise, with 4 years NCB it turned out identical to an EP3 Civic Type R - so that was a no brainer for me!

Oh, and the sound gen mod was done within an hour of picking it up what a lovely difference!

Regarding the wheels - Yeah, 18's would look better there is no doubt about that, but the ride is very good considering it's still on runflats.. I think a lot of this is probably down to the smaller wheels

Nice wheels, haven't seen them on a Z4 before. I am averaging over 40mpg in mine, it's frustrating driving like an illegal taxi driver to achieve it but impressive nonetheless.

Thought I'd update this - no massive changes really, aside from routine maintenance I've only had to replace a pipe at the intake. Wheels are 8/9J 19" CSL reps with Falken rubber. The pic of the car covered in snow was taken AFTER I had driven the 8 or so miles to work, for sure the hairiest drive of my life!

What's the long term MPG been like?

Long term MPG - For my commute it sits at 30-31 mpg, as soon as I take it onto the motorway it's 35-40.
Short blasts and traffic work can prove costly - but for the size of the engine it's pretty remarkable

These look very smart on the CSL wheels. Getting into budget for me too. Always looked at the coupes, didnt realise they did a hard top like this. Looks good!

Been thinking about a Z4 myself recently, not that I can afford one for a while.

Looks much better on the CSLs but I can't say I'm keen on the shape of the hardtop...I'm sure it's nice to have though
