Hi everyone. I thought i'd share my excitement! I picked up my new Swift today and I havent stopped grinning since!
Its such a blast to drive, reminds me of my old mk2 golf gti as in its light weight, fwd and no body roll through the twisties.
It certainly feels faster than its 136 horses would have you think, but im putting that down to it weighing a smidge over 1000kg, doesnt hurt that it loves having the tits revved off it up to 7200rpm.
heres some pics, some from the dealer carpark and a couple from a little night time excursion through Bath I just returned from

ps sorry for the crappy night pics

Would like to test drive one of these if I weren't so attached to my Renult. They look a great package.

It's a fantastic looking thing and always has been. I still maintain that if they gave it 200bhp it would easilly outsell the clio and be a massive success.

I do think blue is the best colour for these, saying that ive only seen a couple of black ones about so far so not much of a comparison. The standard kit on these is fantastic, other "premium" manufacturers should take serious note.
xenon lights
electric mirrors
bluetooth handfree
6cd changer
climate control
keyless start and locking
cruise control
twin exhausts
nice alloys
all as standard!
Citroen wanted to charge me 500 quid for climate when i looked at a DS3

The pervious Swift Sport is one of my favourite cars ever, so if this one is even half as good, you have got yourself a pretty mega piece of kit!

Nice looking car, but is there a quick hatch made these days that doesn't have twin exhausts? They all seem odd to me on 4 pots.

I guess I was just thinking about the more supposedly premium cars, such as Vags latest offerings. The Fabia Vrs and Polo GTI etc, ok they have 2 pipes but they're next to each other on the left side of the bumper. I just like symmetry.

80's style hot hatching that's exactly what it is! I'm taking a wee schlep up to Norwich this afternoon, m4, m25, A11, filled her up for 51 quid with a range of 330 miles.
That should do me the way there and nearly half the retun leg.

I'm also going to try the cruise control, always thought it a strange idea a manual having CC but I'm open to new things

I've got the previous shape one and I love it. Bet it benefits from having the 6 speed box rather than the 5 speed mine has.

Get onto ssoc, got loadsss of info on there.

Enjoy smile

That looks fantastic! I really dont understand why they dont sell a more powerful version as youda thought it would take a lot of sales away from the VXR, Clio sport etc.

(pedant mode) 6 cd changer is not standard (pedant mode) Ive got the red one as a demo and tbf drives lovely , quite quick and still returns 45mpg.

Looks great! Iv got the older model and think theyre cracking cars! Also think they'd be best with 200bhp....but i guess if they had that much power, myself and a few other people i know wouldn't be able to afford the insurance etc.
