Thank you both.I think i'll be changing the exhaust early next year...i've heard the scorpions' are pretty good, although i've also been told a Ferrita (sp?) from Kalmer Union aren't too bad either. I've got plenty of time to decide.
Apart from that, no plans other than getting it serviced, and more cleaning!
Got a Ferrita on mine and very happy with it. Not in your face chav like some, but sounds great on song. Some systems can cause droning and can drive you nuts. Mate had a mongoose that did that and also put a Ferrita on his and is very happy now. Exhaust on its own wont add any extra power, as the cat is the restriction, but the standard system is a bit quiet.

One chap did something of the order of 50-60k pa in one without great issue, albeit with someone else paying (probably). Makes my 20k pa seem somewhat lame, although it is self-funded. Fuel costs aren't that much worse than the equivalents and if you get a decent one it is a pretty tough old boot - I suspect a standard engine would do a moon trip without too much hassle.

Granted it is a completely different car. The BiL has one and from 40 onwards on the motorway it is pulling away at some great pace.
The value of my Mondeo has considerably depreciated too, so chopping in the Mondeo for the Focus would need a bit of cash adding to it.

I thought it would be difficult going from a super frugal diesel to the ST but its been the easiest decision i've ever made.
I was expecting low 20's but i'm getting around 28-29mpg, and 35mpg on slightly longer runs.
Its no worse than my old Civic Type R (ep3), and still better than my old 330ci.

Doing quite well with 28mpg I believe I was expecting low 20's but i'm getting around 28-29mpg, and 35mpg on slightly longer runs.

Guessing you aren't engaging the turbo much as that's meant to be the main culprit it the car being branded a bit thirsty?

The ST's do seem to have a reputation for bad mpg, I guess a lot of it is stemmed from the Internet. I certainly use the car to its potential, but when I'm not really in a hurry I just drive normally. Since I bought my Dreamscience remap, its a totally different car. I tried the standard map on it for a few days last week & I though I still had the handbrake on when I was driving.
