Overhyped Hyundai thing probably belongs on mumsnet sorry

Yeah I've had this thing for ages and was scared to post it here, bloody hyundai isn't it. I know everyone hates them because they're underpowered, bks looking, not £12.50 etc but this is all I've ever wanted for the road - 200bhp, balanced rwd, proper driving position, bit of space in the back, low grip tyres, decent mpg, proper gearbox, spartan. Maybe its because I'm a crap driver but tip toeing around moist roundabouts in a powerful over tyred heavy barge is just not for me anymore. In this hachiroku I can use the back end to turn the car with precision, stress free. For me this has the perfect amount of power for the road, the perfect driving position, the perfect steering wheel, the perfect exterior, the perfect seats etc; its the perfect car to seek out decent roads and not be fed up when you get to them.

I have a pc world 10 minutes walk away and I drove 50 miles to buy a mouse last night and they didn't even have it in stock, bloody hyundai I love it.

Yeah its a GT86 but so many people on here have said it looks like a hyundai. One guy at the shell garage said to me "nice hyundai", I knew he was having a joke but still.

Wonderful car, a real drivers tool. I cant help thinking they rushed the wheels as everything else looks so bloody spot on, maybe it is me and they will win me over in the end.

It is very well behaved when it is wagging its tail, what is it like in the wet?

I googled some pics, the Toyota us a much prettier car. I've seen one In the flesh and it is stunning, one of the nicest new cars I've seen

Very nice. I'm surprised more people aren't keen on these. I'm sure Hyundai screwed it together properly, and it looks suspiciously like the GT86.

Saw one of these on the road the other day. Had to look twice, it looks great - the exhausts are huge....

But doesn't it only come in stty lawnmower power sized engines?!

First one I've seen in white- looks good.

Ironically, I prefer the Hyundai Genesis Coupe (with the V6) to the GT86/BRZ. It's just a shame Hyundai chose not to sell it in the UK
