Is that a Spoon exhaust I spy on the Daihatsu? I bet it sounds mint. I love the Impreza too.

Loving the GT, back when I was 17 I baffled my folks into getting a stock standard one for my first car it's only when they went to insure it alarm bells started to ring bless them..Certainly not many around and appreciating I'd have thought by now..Cracking cars.

So much want for the GTti. I worked at a garage in '96 and one of these came in part ex. Needless to say I had a little test drive. Bonkers biggrin

Must be one of the best left in the country.

Gtti !!!! Awesome! And my first car at 18!!! Still can't believe I sold it for a Renault 19 16v a year later....that was pants and a fair bit slower! These charades can really shift with a bit of tweaking....

That GTti is very cool. You don't see many of those around these days. A search on Pistonheads and Eba7y reveals none for sale at this present time!

Just to confirm, yes they are 1 litre, 3 cylinder. Pretty sure it says "Twin Cam 12v Turbo" on the door protector moulding.

A couple of great cars there man, two I've always wanted to own, doubt it will ever happen with the GTTI, but would love a GC8 Impreza in a few years smile

Absolutely love the GTti (and the Impreza) but the Charade was such a cheeky little thing. I bet it feels manic these days as it must be very light!

Awesome mate

Thanks for the comments. I've always had a soft spot for the GTti, and this is my second of four of the little blighters! The GTti is really great fun, and the engine note from the 3 cyl 12v turbo engine is quite addictive!

Both the GTti and the RA are pretty standard apart from the usual wheels and exhaust, although I have upgraded the brakes on the RA to 4 pots, and the bumpers on the GTti have been 'smoothed', prior to my ownership.

Here's a picture of me in my first GTti at Curborough, where I got called a hooligan for the amount of time the wheels spent spinning when the turbo kicked in:
