Wide arched mk2 polo

So this was my car from about 7 years ago, I know this wont be to everyone s taste but I was 18 at the time. I can't take credit the build as that was done by the previous owner but it just needed finishing touches when I got it.

So spec is a standard mk2 polo coupe s with the following:

Full stainless exhaust
Kn filter
Mk1 golf arches welded on(approx 4" wider than standard)
Spax springs and dampers, chassis had to be cut to accommodate angle of certain suspension parts
13x8 ats classics in rare red from factory apparently.........
Full re spray in a Mercedes silver with added metallic in the paint.
No rear seats and had to be careful who to allow in front as couldn't take anyone over 10 stone.

All in all it was a terrible car to drive but I have suh fond memories of it as it was such a massive head turner.

Ah! I want the NSU! Is it still yours and is it for sale?

The nsu was one of my mates, it got sold to become a hill climb car about 6 years ago. One of our mates has a track tts another which he's done up up for fun/sell. Think it's Rivera blue on polished slot mags. I'll see if I can dig up a photo.

I remember this car and it's build on clubpolo. Always thought it was a 1400 16v though? It was a good build standard IIRC, things we do when were young, eh.

Cool mk2 polo, the arches look smart.

My brother owned a Coupe S a few years back which was completely standard. It's pretty hard to find good mk2s these days.

I really like it, I wanted one before I bought my mk1, there was only one near me for sale and it was in bad shape. Always liked the coupe's.
Miss my Mk1, sold it for £50!

Basically cause it was so low, as soon as anyone over about 10 stone sat in, it would ground out on the slightest bump in the road.

My first car was an early Mk 2 Polo Coupe, loved it to bits! It had a rev counter, oh yes!

Very nice Polo. There's a feature on 80s superminis in this months Practical Classics - great to see just how simple and clean the original designs were.
