Audi 80 content(ment)

Hi folks,
this is my daily..and I love it, nearly 200k with no squeaks or rattles and 15,000 miles in the last 12 months and its never really complained.
It has quite a few upgrades from coupe's and such like and a few modern touches too.
Of course its never going to attract crowds but it gives me immense 'shedisfaction'!

Thanks, its a '93.
Basically Ireland's reg plates start with the year, the letter denotes county where it was registered (Dublin in this case) and the numbers are counted from 1 for that county in that year*.
The reg is non transferable and dies with the car eventually.

• recently its become a little more complex than that but in basic terms that's the rule of thumb.

Nice, Ours is a TDi with just 100bhp but goes better and uses half the fuel than our old 1.6 8v.

Very nice OP, and a rare enough sight in Ireland these days. Always one of the smartest looking estate cars around IMO, especially in that colour (Ragusa?)

Used to have an 89-D 80 1.8S myself, but it died a horrible death on the Dublin - Belfast road a good few years ago . Although it kept its contents alive

I used to have a silver 2.0 80 Avant a few years back. Absolutely loved it and it was built like a tank too. Given the chance I would happily buy it back.

I'm only the 4th owner from new and its got a full history and was always kept really well. Yes its pretty rare nowadays especially in Ireland. I think its emerald green but could be wrong.
Here's a list of a the mods that have been done by the last owner and myself:

Coupe Alloys
Coupe mirrors
Coupe front bumper and lights (a pic of the original below)
Coupe secondary clocks
Coupe half leather sport seats
Coupe quattro steering wheel
Rain sensor wipers
Parrot bluetooth
Rear tints
3rd brake-light
Decent stereo with ipod connection etc.
It was highly spec'd for the time with, metal tilt/slide sunroof, 4x electric windows, central locking and velour upholstery (can you handle the luxury )
I like it this way, as there's not much to go wrong in the car and its relatively easy to work on (not that I do many jobs myself)
