Thought would post in here. Have just inherited a 2010 Volvo V70 X5 with the Pole star remap. Now has 225bhp! Certainly motors well along on the motorways.
Managed 41mpg average so far. Should get a few more if I stop pressing the loud pedal.
Is an auto though. Will spend most of its life on the motorway so suits me fine.
Cheers.

Been running it now for a couple of months. Smooth, very very comfortable and swift is my conclusion. Still geting about 41mpg over all.
Some think i am an unmarked copper as well. Helps to pass the time on the motorway. Makes very easy work of overtaking people on A & B roads. Mid-range is immense.
I have not found anything that wont fit in the boot yet either. Put the seats down and i might as well cycle my MTB in!!
Just thought I would add a short update.
I get around mid to low 30's mpg when pushing on up and down motorways. Such an easy car to drive and so comfey. Has loads of presence as people do seem to move over as you come up behind them. Maybe they think it is an unmarked traffic car?
If in no real rush I can get over 50mpg when doing 60mph. Don't really do around town driving.
Had a new grill badge fitted by Volvo on Friday as the old the blue making the word Volvo had been blasted off. Got a 'free' health check as well. Tip top condition.
Did about 260miles on Sunday coming home and felt fresh when getting out of the car.
All in all cant think of much else I would rather be in most days.
Cheers

PS Fantastic Hi-Fi as well. 16gb USB key and music for hours.

Lovely car, I've been looking at this exact model of car recently, just wasn't sure if it would be pokey enough, but with the Polestar work that seems to be not a problem.
It has about 225bhp now. Not the quickest off the line, overtaking on the other hand just seems epic, so quick and easy. Pushing on motorways is very easily done to. Seems to pick up speed very quick.Makes quite a nice noise as well when pushing on

If you want to know anything let me know and If I can help I will.

Lovely car these D5
what is it with Swedish and Italian cars and worn badges
Saab, Volvo, Alfa
these companies have made some incredible cars so you would think they'd have mastered how to make badges that don't fade or flake away
I can relate to that. I've spent just shy of £50 for new badges on the Saab what is it with Swedish and Italian cars and worn badges

Had a S60 D5, honestly one of the best motors I've ever had, seats felt as if you where sitting in the hand of God! Now the bottom end on the jags gone seriously thinking of buying a V70 D5 in rebel blue, only issue I have it my s60 understeered quite a bit... cant find any 2012/13 D5's with AWD though...
