Afternoon all,
Bit more of a lurker than a poster but here goes.
So after having an 04 plate Astra Coupe 1.8 for 18 months, I thought it was time for a change. The Astra was heavy, unrefined on corners and particularly thirsty considering it was dog slow. In its defence it was bulletproof, it never once broke down and basic maintenance plus tyres is all its cost me.
Anyway, onwards and upwards, I actually went out with the intention of chopping it in for a cheap runabout, as being a self employed painter and decorator means I use my car daily.
I saw the Fiesta on the forecourt and could not resist having a look. Long story short I ended up putting a deposit down as soon as I returned from the test drive.
The car has covered 32k miles, it is lowered on Spax springs, has good history and all previous MOT's.

Not really had a chance to get out and take some good pictures of it yet, hopefully get some good ones once the weather picks up.
MPG sits at an average of 27.6, which im happy with as im mainly doing stop/start driving.

One of the reasons I bought the car is because it was smoothed. Never seen another one on the road like it.
The strip on the bonnet is a carbon sticker, ill probably take it off and put a new one on as its not been lined very well.
And MPG average is around 250 miles after I reset it, i'm hoping to get it up to 30 at least.

27.6 mpg ! I've averaged 28.1mpg in the 330i over the past 2K with a fair chunk stop start.
Not a fan of the rear "difuser" white fins but other than that it looks nice in white and sits just right.
Likewise, even town driving I average around 27ish in my 325 auto. The ST is a nice, fun car though and one in standard guise would be a good little car to own. Indeed. Diamond White, that was available on the Fiesta ST at launch, before being replaced with Frozen White, looks a bit 'radiator paint' white when placed side by side with a Frozen White ST. Much more cream in appearance, by comparison.
Whilst on the subject, I always thought the pearlescent 'Electric White' on the late model Focus STs always looked a bit dull and almost grey in reality. Not their best.

Its a good little car in all fairness, haven't managed to get it out for a good blast yet, but the seats are very comfortable, the boot is a good size for a small hatch, the ride is good even though it has been lowered. It picks up surprisingly well from low rpm when in say 3rd or 4th and it makes a nice noise when you boot it, quite raspy.
For the moment I'll most likely leave it as it stands, may consider a new front bumper, some decent coilovers and if I decide to keep the car long enough, Cobra cat back, mongoose flexipipe and a k&n 57i, but non of this will be happening until summer is out of the way.
And I agree with the comments on Frozen White looking fresh, it polishes up very well, not had chance to mop it but was surprised how nice it came up after a quick wash.

No updates really, covered around 1000 miles in her now, very happy with it.
Could do with some spacers on the rear, and a better suspension set up but handling wise its fairly good.
Things I dislike; Cupholders in doors are practically useless, centre cup holder is a pain, if you put anything larger than a can in there it gets in the way when engaging 1st, the crappy rear tyres that some brightspark thought would be a good idea to put on, absolutely lethal in anything other than dry weather.

Fiesta ST Fuel consumption (urban) 27.2 mpg (101%)
330 sport Fuel consumption (urban) 22.1 mpg (127%)
325iauto Fuel consumption (urban) 20.9 mpg (129.19%)
And owners claim they fail match makers claims!!!- 9/10 drivers seem easily to match or beat the official urban figure - although compare and contrast some of my friends urban OBC readings
2011 seat ibiza 1.4 24 mpg

08 VW touran tdi 27 mpg
My 20 yr urban % is 69% btw - 22.5mpg/99bhp
Just a quick update, the car was recently dynoed at 137bhp.
Unhappy with this figure, I sourced a k&n 57i and Milltek flexipipe. While it was on the ramps I managed to look at the exhaust properly, as its blowing. An exhaust 'specialist' in Tylesley, Birmingham replaced the exhaust that was on it with a new one as it was an mot failure. It is a bodge job and a half! When I get to a PC i'll upload a couple of pics of it. So a cat back exhaust is next on then cards.
Managed to get back on the dyno today and its making a healthy 148bhp which i'm pleased with.
On the whole i'm very pleased with the car, job change also means its doing less miles now, so i'm enjoying the car alot more now.
