My e36 328i... with 48k Miles.. :)

Suppose this can serve as a bit of an introduction for not only my car, but me as well!
My name is Adam, I'm 25 and from Nottingham.

I bought a BMW 328i in arctic silver last year for £600 off ebay as a bit of a 'runaround' car while I saved up some money for various reasons (including maybe a new-er car.) Long story short I realy took to the car and decided that I wanted a nice example instead. So move forward a few months and hours of classified trawling later I came across this beaut!

48k miles from new, comprehensive history, two brand new rear tyres and near as damnit, immaculate!

One guy had it from new for around a year then moved it on to someone who owned it for a majority of its life. It was then bought by the father and subsequently transfered to his son, who I eventualy bought it from so I'm the 5th.

One of this niggles I've got to sort is the rear quarter window rubbers are badly perished, are these still available?

Nice 328! I've recently bought my first and am loving it! (though mine has more than 100k miles than yours!!!!)

One I viewed before the one I bought had perished rubber seals, apparently this is quite common and the seals should be still available (from BMW or possible eurocarparts?).

Any plans for her?

Mine feels solid at 157k (well now it's a few bits and bobs rectified) so yours must drive like a dream :-)

Nice looking car, can't be many around with that kind of mileage now. As you've got the BBS wheels, you might as well add the bumpers, trims and skirts etc and turn her into a Sport!

Stunning. Seem to be a fair few members on PH snapping up 328s recently!

I think you should go for the m-tec kit, it will compliment the car extremely well in that colour.

Friend of mine had his grill colour coded. Not the whole thing, just the outer edge and left the vertical slats black.

Worked rather well on his car but it was a purple car.

Get the original Grill back on, and re-gingercate the side repeaters and you're sorted.

Just noticed you have clear\red rear lights.... IMO the Fronts need to be the same (or my preference) get some Ginger\Red\White rear clusters back on it

Should be from BMW, did mine about 4 yrs ago when I owned one. Not the easiest of jobs getting the old ones off without damaging the paint, putting new ones on a doddle. I'd wait for a warm/dry day though as you'll need to fully remove the rear windows.

I loved mine, bought at 130K, sold at 196K 4 yrs later and totally reliable, only sold it due to needing something bigger for teenagers to fit in the back of.

I hear what people are saying about the front grille... It was actualy like that when I bought the car. However im going to leave it on there whilst I sort out the few issues with the car. (I quite like it )

Can anyone point me in the direction of the part number I need? Heres the realoem link is it 8&9 I need?

Anyway just ordered this bottle of Dr. Leather Cleaner, read some good things about it. The champagne leather inside looks pretty dirty!

Are you growing anything in the rest of the quaterlight........get some autoglym rubber cleaner and a toothbrush and sort that st out....start with the basics before moving on to the leather
