My new purchase. My first car really as the last one i bought was a knackered 205 gti that never turned a wheel and i ended up giving it away to someone who wanted to reshell a rally car and have used my dads ever since then.

Anyway its a 2000 Z3 M Coupe and seeing as today was the first good weather since i bought it i decided to go a proper drive and took some pictures.

Its taking a little getting used to, quite heavy to drive in terms of the clutch and gearchange compared to what i'm used to, apparently changing the clutch hose and changng the gearbox oil makes quite a big difference with these so will be doing that at somepoint. The lack of traction control has almost caught me out a couple of times on greasy roads aswell so still tip toeing around when its greasy.

Just up around glencoe on a single track road that goes along to Glen Etive i think.

Enjoy; look out for my Dad in his around Glasgow, estoril blue with a 4 digit plate. Had it over 7 years now.

I find the steering wheel too large and the suspension too soft but its a fun thing to pilot.

That's fantastic! Thought Estoril Blue was my favourite colour for Z3 Ms but this is making me reconsider. Good job it isn't an S54 with that brilliant numberplate... nerd Lovely car!

I had one in red that I sold about 5 years ago and I miss it like crazy. Planning on buying another as a weekend car as soon as I move to a house with a bigger garage. These are definitely one of the best cars ever made if you are a petrol head.

Excellent, love it.

Am I right in thinking I saw this for sale on M3 Cutters recently?

Lovely car and a really interesting choice. I've always fancied one of these.

Fantastic car.
Have you checked the boot floor for cracking. Its a weak point on these and an expensive thing to fix if its gone too far.
I have often looked at these cars but could never find a nice low mileage S54 engined one.
Lovely colour as well.

Nice car fella, I'm sure you're gonna have a lot of fun. Here's my old one

Loved it but never really got under my skin quite like the E30 M3 I had before it. At 6'2 didn't really a fit in it. Both gone nowfrown

Stunning and I agree that's one of the few personal plates I really like.

BMW please build more cars like this rather than Audi clones!
