Hi all

I picked this up the other week, after selling my classic impreza back in november.

It is a Aries LocoBlade powered by a 893 fireblade bike engine.

I have it a wash today and a going over with some acf-50

what do you think?

I had a Fisher Fury with a 'blade engine in. Felt quite powerful up up until 7k or so, then it all went blurry! Brilliant fun. Yours looks lovely.

yes they are good fun, from what i have been told, it is putting out around 130bhp or so.

with the gearbox, it is like learning to drive again lol

proportions look a bit off compared to a normal 7, but I guess it stretches to the correct length due to aerodynamic heating?

Is that an ABS sensor I spy in the pic of the suspension / hub assembly? if so its not something you see all that often on a kit build at all!

I was wondering that too.

Could it be a traction/launch control sensor?

It is the Speedo sensor for the digi dash

Our old striker had an R1 engine with an almost identical exhaust/induction setup with the piper-x filter sticking out the bonnet... not the quietest things are they

in a line, i would say the scooby will kill it, but add some bends in the road and this would win hands down. tip speed is around 115mph, where that would be 3rd gear in the scoob lol

indeed, these are quite cheap to own! and the noise even with a lid on is quite loud lol even more when you are stopming the gas!

Very nice, though personally if I owned it I'd want the side panels coloured the same as the rest of the car. I'm surprised it tops out at 115mph, I thought it would be a bit higher than that, the gearing must be really short. Still, much like a WRC car "only" gets to 130mph or so, I bet this thing doesn't take long to get there.

yeah with the gearing and diff, that about all it will do, but tbh even at slower speeds, you feel like you car going sooo fast compaired to a normal tin top lol

i was thinking about doing the sides in a black and poss the wheel arches in black as well
