Colin M's Honda Civic Type R
Discussion
Hi Everyone, long time lurker first time poster here
This is my 2005 Civic Type R Premier in Cosmic Grey that I purchased in April 2011. The car was pretty much standard when I got it and I have slowly been adding/changing parts to make it to make it more track focused. I have recently acquired a Skoda Fabia 1.9d which I plan to use as my daily which should allow me to turn this into more of a weekend/ track car.
Some future plans include Bremtech Grooved Discs, Track wheels and tyres, Progress Rear ARB, SuperPro Caster Increase Bushes, Coilovers, strip interior, Bucket seats and harness.
Premier Additions
Tinted Rear Windows
Type R embossed logo on the front Brake Callipers
Recaro Bucket Seats
Red Carpets
Momo Steering Wheel
Factory Options
Fog Lights
Air-conditioning
Front Tweeters
PERFORMANCE MODIFICATIONS
ARC Intake
SFS Induction Hose
ES Engine Mounts Inserts
Quaife LSD
Clockwise Motion Baffled Sump insert
SUSPENSION
JDM Rear ARB
Eibach Pro-Kit springs
Eibach rear camber arms
Eibach front camber bolts
TGM Fast Road Set-up
BRAKES
Front OEM disks
Front Ferodo DS2500 pads
Rear OEM disks
Rear OEM pads
TGM Brake lines
Motul RBF600 brake fluid
WHEELS AND TYRES
OEM Alloy Wheels
Bridgestone RE050A

Nice spec. I'm considering chopping the 330i in for something like an EP3 / 197 for a change. Something revvy and not to serious.
Yours has the modifications bar the diff that I had in mind.
Thanks. They are great cars as are the clios but I have heard a few horror stories about the reliability of them.Yours has the modifications bar the diff that I had in mind.
If you can I would highly recommend you find one with a diff or budget for one.

Welcome to the club ! Yours is the same as mine, good fun aren't they ? I see you bought the the fastest colour too ;-)
Thanks. Great fun
I had originally wanted a Milano but after seeing how bad the paint fades I'm glad I chose Cosmic.DanielJames said:
That's a big claim, hope youre not forgetting about the little Ek9!
EP3 is lovely mate, great mods too, LSD really makes a Type R out of these!
Think I have to agree on this. Never driven one myself but been a passenger and they are great cars.EP3 is lovely mate, great mods too, LSD really makes a Type R out of these!
LSD is a must have on an EP3 IMO.
