Long time lurker car history.....
Discussion
Hi
Been lurking on here for such a long time enjoying reading about other peoples cars and wishing mine was worthy of posting. However, I thought I'd finally take the plunge and introduce myself and my long and distant car history. So deep breath, here goes:
1. 1984 Audi 100 1.8 Saloon - fantastic car bought from a mate in the pub for £300 spent £80 quid doing it up and polishing it and sold it six months later for £950. The original wheeler dealer car.
2. Mk 1 Seat Ibiza complete with loads of "System Porsche" stickers.
3. Mk2 Cavalier 1.6 running on LPG even back in 1996!
4. Peugeot 405 1.6 picked up from the auctions for well under trade, started tidying it up but then stopped when I wrote it off by taking all four corners of it in a single car accident. (Was quite proud of that at the time).
5. Renault 5 1.1 Campus, became so rusty that youy could see through the holes.
6. Citroen Xantia VSX 2.0 petrol. Fantastic car, nothing more to add.
7. Corsa 1.4 SRi track day car. Fantastic tool, did suspension, brakes, cam, induction, wheels and tyres, bracing and stripped it out and then promptly overcooked the engine.
8. Renault Laguna - my dads old car

9. Mazda Eunos/MX5 track day car lowered and stiffened suspension, Greenstuff pads, LSD and stainless steel cat free exhaust.
10. Vauxhall Vectra 1.8 SXi

11. Vauxhall Astra SRi CDTi estate. Looked nice and was a great car when it worked!

12. Family car time, Ford Focus CMax 1.8 Zetec. Boring.
13. Current car Mazda6 Diesel Estate. Fantastic chassis and comfort level.

So there we are. I used to get bored a lot as you can tell! Finances are a bit tight at the mo so no plans to expand to two cars at present but maybe at some point in the not too distant future. Anyways thats me.

The Mk II Cavalier - yes, I was gutted to not see that too.
Thanks guys, the 6 is brilliant, have driven the old too and whilst the newer one is clearly heavier, the chassis is better imho. As for the Eunos, I'm desperately trying to locate pictures of it but MX5OC have helpfully changed their forum so none there and I can't find any on my hard drive. Will keep searching though.
