BMW 330d M Sport saloon
Discussion
Well I have had my car for about a year now so thought I would put up some photos as its been through a few changes in that time. I tend to only keep my cars for about 6month to a year but this one is a bit of a keeper. Nothing else I have owned has given me the performance mixed with economy and feel good factor that this one does. I also like playing around with the aesthetics and BMWs are great for this as there are loads of bits for them.
Here it is as I got it. It had a few mods already like the BMW/BBS 313 19' wheels, BMW performance boot spoiler, Alpine stereo upgrade and dealer fitted xenons (£££!!)

Once home I spent 9hours detailing it! and was pretty impressed with the paint for a 6 year old black car

Not long after getting it I put on a set of BMW black grills but wasnt a fan as I thought it just killed the look of the front of the car. I decided to keep the top sections black and return the lower parts to the original silver. Not something I have seen done elsewhere and I think it looks pretty mean!!

I then went to work on the wheels and got them refurbished in anthracite grey by the wheel specialist. Although the original colour was nice I was starting to see them everywhere and wanted them to look a little different. I also fitted H&R spacer front and rear 12/15mm to make it sit a little nicer.

It stayed this way for the best part of last year and I took it to Le Mans in June with some mates in their cars.

I then decided to bite the bullet and get the wheels I really wanted. Some 19 BBS CHRs in anthracite grey.

I got these fitted and I am really happy with the overall look. They are 0.5inch wider front and rear so the spacers went and I replaced them with just some 5mm H&Rs on the rear.

I have since put on a black 330d badge which adds at least 3bhp!!

The only thing still bugging me for now was the white reverse lights. Everyone said get grey/red BMW performance lights but I have never been a fan. I was going to do a full LCi upgrade with a new boot lid etc but that was going to be about £800+ so after much deliberation I decided to get a sheet of £14 Lamin X. I have fitted it today and I am pretty happy with the outcome. I have put in a slot for the white light which doesnt really show in the photos but it is there.

That's is it for now!!! Until something else comes to mind . . . . . .

Thanks for the positive response. The BBS look a lot nicer in the metal, although I do need slightly wider rear tyres to finish them off. A bit to much stretch for my liking!
The Porsche is a mates whose house we did the detail at. The MG in the photo is gone now and been replaced with a Porsche 996 Turbo! Both are so clean they make mine look tatty! The white one is a mint 89 3.2 Targa I think? like new. As for the number plate screw, you have a point!!
