Bought a MK1 MR2 at xmas. Always liked them. Great fun car, reliable, and pretty solid considering it's 24 years old. Revvy engine, great handling, sounds really nice, and very pure in terms of driving experience.
It's also for sale now.

However, I've always liked the MK3 MR2 more. Very close to the Lotus Elise. I picked this up yesterday, and so far enjoying it just as much as the MK1. Wish it had a little more power though, but all good things...

So, I currently own two MR2's. And a bike. Where's spring FFS?

I really miss my MR2 Mk3. I had it before I got my Elise Sport 160 (I see you're also an ex-owner), and you're right, it really is like a 'poor mans Elise', very similar in character. I lowered mine on TTE springs (made by Eibach in fact), and left it at that. I was a brilliant car, very very underated.

Should never have sold the Lotus...I say it all the time.I have a few upgrades planned, one of which is springs/dampers and some chassis braces. It won't ever be an Elise, but it's not far off.
Haha, there isn't a day goes by where I don't bore someone to death about my Elise and how much I miss it! Still, I'm just glad I experienced it, and at the end of the day things like paying the mortgage are more important. I'd love another MR2 Roadster as a weekend toy though, I did a few airfield days in mine and it was great fun and very capable.
