Just a short build thread for my MINI as asked for by a couple of people in my welcome thread.

It started off like this

Then rather quickly got a the following additions bellow

NM engineering boost tap
Evolve De cat downpipe

Suspension and Chassi
Meister R coilovers, damping and height adjustable with front camber plates
Eibach rear control arms
Forge strutbrace

JCW Brembo 4 piston calipers stripped and painted in 2k pepper white with black Brembo logos
Upgraded OEM drilled and grooved disks
Goodridge braided brake lines

Exterior
JCW Bodykit
Grill surrounds colour coded
Front and rear light rings colour coded
Cooper fuel cap
Face lift Cooper side vents
OEM Sports antenna
De wipered
Silvertech bulbs to remove orange from indicators
Interior
Recaro pole positions in nappa leather and Alcantara
Complete colourline re-trim - all vinyl replaced for genuine Alcantara
Alcantara gear and handbrake gaithers with Pepper White stitching
Alcantara steering wheel spokes with Pepper White stitching
Black facelift style airbag
Retrofit facelift AC and switch pack
Painted Nav and Stereo controls to match AC

Wheels and tyres
OZ ultraleggeras - Gone
Rays volk GT7's - Gone
Speedline Turinis - Gone
Rota Blitz powdercoated in Chrome-Silver with Advan AD08 Trackday tyres

Thankfully proper suspension arrived quickly





Re trimmed all of the vynl with alcantara





De wipered thanks to my friends at orranje





My favorite, probaly most unique thing I've done. A set of JCW brembo 4 spot front calipers and matching larger rears that I had painted pepper white to match the car with the brembo logos added







Then came some sticky tyres



And some flames and noise courtesy of a evolve decat downpipe



Then the obligatory polybushes



The wheels also got refurbed with a slightly more polished finish



Got bored with the look and fitted a JCW kit













Found some black door cards and did a big cut and stick exercise combining bits off my original ones. I almost forgot, the reason why the red got ripped out was because I fitted a set recaro pole positions from a audi tt





Tried to be a snow plow



Failed at being a snow plow



Got a new bumper which meant no reg plate holes





And I've now decided to buy something sensible and sell up, but I thought you'd get a bit of an incite into me, hope you've enjoyed the read and aren't too bored. It wasn't as short as what I was planning when I started writting it.

Very nice mods mate. where did you get the pepper white paint for your Calipers? Wanna do the same to my mcs. :-)

It looked so good in it's final guise mate, such a shame it's having to go .

Have a year in a 'normal' car (no modding allowed) then come back & get yourself sorted with an R53

Very nice indeed I want a Countryman Sd as my next daily preferably an All4 which will sit along side my 2 classics. I've driven 3 MINI's over the years a R53 One D which very impressive a R56 Cooper and most recently a Cooper D I was really impressed with all of them. Yet to drive an S bit would imagine they are pretty fast (well certianly faster then my 1969 MKII 1000!!) )

Shame you need to sell but I think you'll be back as once you are bitten by the mini bug you have it for life!

I had the brakes done by my local bodyshop so they were baked properly, if your in the midlands I can put you in touch with them as they are very good and not too expensive either

Thanks, If they are flexible I will probably stick with my current perspex disc that glues in from behind - just need some stronger glue!

Thankfully not, my coilovers are relatively firm so and and I only get a very small amount of rubbing on the biggest bumps, the wheels are 17x7.5 ET35 so clear just nicely
