Love 'em or hate 'em.... I love 'em. Running resto of a veteran of Los Angeles. Brought it to UK on California blue plates, last year.... It's a 73 model with a few little period dealer options, stripes etc.

You don't see one for years then two pop up! Looks lovely, I've always had a soft spot for these.

Is that a bra on the bonnet? If so, get it off!

Nice and rare car though smile

I saw a dark one on the motorway the other week.

I don't know much about them (I'm assuming that they're not just a Porschified Karmann Ghia..), but I really like the look of them.

Brock Yates talks about being taught track driving in one in Sunday Driver.

edit: Just checked, it appears that the engine is mid-mounted
...and Subaru engines are a popular transplant.

I appreciate the feedback. Just MoT'd. First few miles on UK plates now....Bedding in new shocks and a re'install of a fuel injection system, which was missing when I got her....Running stock engine now... a VW Type 4 engine, mid mounted with a Porsche 901 (911) gearbox.
