Good morning chaps (and chapets)!

Well, as I've been lurking in the shadows for years on Pistonheads, I thought it would be rude not to register and say hello. Not sure why I havnt done so before .

So here is my nice and shiny totally bog standard A3 TDI sport. Although its not very sporty and probably not very pistonheads worthy, but anyway...

Black is always a nightmare to keep clean, but if you want it to have a really deep shine apply a coat of poorboys black hole glaze then give it a coat of poorboys nattys blue wax both are designed for dark or black cars.

It's one of those detailing world best kept secrets and both products are cheap and easy to apply, I first heard of the stuff when I had a black roadster.

I won't use anything else on my pride and joy now.

Looks really tidy, I think black is the best colour for A3's (apart from Solar Orange on S3's)

Thanks guys, that was after 4hrs or so cleaning it with a mate who is into detailing. We didn't even have time to do the inside. First we foamed it, then shampoo, polished then wax. Did similar with the alloys. I think we used AutoFinesse avalanche foam, dodo juice wax and AutoGlym polish, I cant remember about the rest.

The car is now back to being filthy again due to rain and dirty roads though so I'll have clean it with some wash and wax when I have time and weather permitting.
