My E90 M3 & The OHs TT-S

After months of deliberation between an E90 M3, C63 AMG and a B7 RS4 I finally took the bull by the horns two weeks ago and stuck a deposit down on an E90 M3.
I was offered this car around two months ago, however I wasn't quite ready to buy, which was rather annoying as it was pretty much ideal, I kept an eye on the AUC site and eventually took the plunge.
My must haves in spec were DCT, EDC, Heated seats and Bluetooth, anything else was a bonus, turns out I got everything I required plus USB, extended leather, folding mirrors, rear power sockets, tracker and a 5 year free service pack, the last was an unexpected bonus.
I headed down to Dundee to pick the car up yesterday, when walking into the dealership I was met with a somewhat unusual sight, my old 335d touring which my friend now owns, parked right next to my new car, the 335 had been in for a service.
Its a 2011 E90 in Melbourne Red with platinum extended leather, quite a rare combination, but a refreshing change from the sea of black and silver that usually adorns these
I picked it up yesterday and I am absolutely in love with it, the DCT gearbox is awesome, I drove a manual before this one and wasn't too impressed with it, however I'm more than happy with this. I can't wait until the weather gets a bit better and I can take it for some decent runs, I went out for a short drive over a twisty back road last night and I must admit I'm very impressed
I appreciate the car as a whole will divide opinions, many prefer the Coupe, however I need the rear doors and have always preferred the M3 in saloon form, again the colour combination will have opinions differing, but I like it and for me that's all that matters
Moving on from my car, here's SWMBO TT-S
She bought this around 3 months ago on a complete whim, one minute we were out for a run, the next we were in Aberdeen Audi looking at Audi TTs, I'm not much of an Audi fan and the TDI ones she was looking at didn't exactly do much for me.
After pointing out a TDI was pointless (we don't do much miles) I showed her this TT-S, she had a look round it, test drove it, and the rest is history. She loves it, and to be fair its a far better drive than I would have given it credit for.
There you have it, our current daily drivers, I have a Golf GTI Anniversary (it can be seen in the background on some pics) that I am slowly trying to return to an acceptable daily drive standard

Thanks for the positive replies, i have no plans to change anything on the car at the moment, i modified my E46 M3 and ruined it as a road car, i wont be doint the same to this car in a hurry
With regards to the discount, i got a few £k off the screen price, and at at the time of placing the deposit i didnt know the car had a service plan & the tracker fitted, i have a funny feeling it may have been Eastern BMWs demo car when new

It's such a lovely colour combo & nice that its a little different to the usual default white or black exterior colour.
Love that M3 - would be the perfect spec for me, the colours in and out, 4 doors, extended leather and the 19s. I've spent many miles behind the wheel of an E92 M3 coupe on road and track, and they are a fabulous steer - just feels so damn solid and chunky. I'm sure you will love it.
As for the TTS - no thanks, I had the misfortune to drive one at length (a colleague's company car) and it was utterly forgetful, not a 'sports car' in a million years. White does a very bland shape no favours either IMO. Sorry!

Looks are clearly subjective I think the TT-S looks miles better than my E92 M3 & had a E90 330d for six years too so familiar with that shape, the two cars are chalk & cheese I think, I bought the M3 for the way it drives not the way it looks & the TT-S looks better than it drives. So a mixed bag then - but my love for your M3 exceeds my dislike of the Audi, so a 'win' on aggregate!
I have always said its a shame BMW/Audi couldn't join forces that way you would get a great looking car that drives brilliant too!

I have to admit though, Audis for me are the primary example of bland/dreary auto design, and they haven't made a good looking car in many years. Even the R8 at the top end of their range is, I think, hideous. That's for a different thread though!

The TT-S is my OHs car, she drives it mostly, and it was what she wanted, a sports car it is not, but a nice looking, coupe that a girl looks good in it is, it keeps her happy and that matter more to me than how it drives/goes.
I had a feeling the car was the Eastern demo car, the previous owners thread confirms my thoughts. Someone had an eye for an unusual car, I'm glad I'm now reaping the benefits
