Owned for a month, some short facts:

1. 294k miles
2. LPG converted
3. non functioning handbrake
4. tear in drivers seat base
5. JRG
6. stupidly fast for its size!

i don't get the appeal of these not a barge fan in general, but 295k and the engineering is renowned does make it a bargain @ £450.

I think these get better looking as they age - I will own an early one in the next few years.

What's the equivalent MPG when running on LPG?

Has anyone ever worn out an LS400 engine or broke one ?

I wonder if these would make good conversion for a TVR a broken engine, 286 bhp would put it in the ball park power wise for a Chim.

Another silly question - what's the refinement like at 80 on the motorway? Good I bet!

I love the solid feel of my w124 at motorway speeds but being honest it's noisier than I'd like.

Very very very quiet. I cannot fully explain the quality of the sound deadening. Coupled with the very good stereo it's brilliant!

Sound wise, there is no difference between doing 30, 70 or (I suppose ) 110mph.

I want one so badly, annoyingly there's one for sale with a 'mere' 140k miles not far from my house and looks mint for £1500....

....but I'm 19 and my insurance is therefor a joke!
