Collected this from Aberdeen on Saturday.

Early flight from Birmingham

Aberdeen!

Drove it back home (395 miles!) without issue, AA membership was on hand just incase.

Some great views on the way back.

Fixed cigarette lighter (fuse), needs new xenon bulbs (dim as anything unsure if previous owner drove in the dark!) and bulb on the cluster has gone. All free fixes so far as I have some new D2S bulbs in the garage. Needs a good clean of the interior too.

Spec that I haven't posted, its a 54 plate, 110k miles, Xenons, Eibachs, Focus ST brakes, Milltek exhaust. Bodywork is tatty few scrapes and some laquer peel but not beyond saving if I choose to. Clutch / DMF replaced 2010 at 75k, new brakes on rear and new caliper so has been looked after mechanically. Current plan is weekend/track car. At the price I paid IMO it was a steal.

Went over to Sheffield on Sunday and not missed a beat. Great drive back through the peak district. The sound is awesome and addictive. Down to 22mpg.

Girlfriend is out tomorrow night so will clean it up a bit after work and fix the bulbs etc.

Have always liked the look of these. If the headlights have had a diy tint maybe the light isn't reflecting properly?

Nice. Loved my old one, so much fun in the corners for quite a big car.

Love these, much more exclusive than the usuall suspects as well, I also used to travel to Aberdeen almost weekly, that's a journey I wouldn't mind doing in that car of yours.

It'll be old xenon bulbs - they fade over time.

Swapped xenon bulbs tonight for some new ones not the best pic but old one on left.

Also fixed bulb in instrument cluster

Quite like the look at night

Couldn't resist giving the engine bay a 15 minute clean either

Next job will be sort out brake judder when brakes are warm. Tried getting some heat into them to fix it but I think it has just made things worse. Would also be nice to get rid of some brake dive but I don't think that is going to be possible without expensive coilovers or similar.

So how much was it then?
I almost bought a petrol one, too; about a week before I split up with the ex, who had a child.
That would have been a mistake - but I'm sure I'd have kept the car if I did buy it.

I know, it likes a drink. Got a Focus diesel for work / commuting sleep Couldn't afford to do mega mileage at 20mpg!

Had some new Osram 66040 in the garage so put those in. The Osram CBI are a bit better but very expensive.

Ta. Mine are about 4 years old and I probably need to think about replacing them.

Love these, very nice cool

Just to clarify - bargain basement = sub £1000? If so then that is stonking value! You will struggle to get a good ST200 for that price, let alone an ST220!

They are silver picture was taken in the dark without flash.

Only just bargain basement at £1k.

Just been out for a drive in it with a mate and it feels a bit flat. Probably due to extra weight and full tank of fuel. Wish it had around 30bhp more so it didnt feel flat after driving the TTS but beggars can't be choosers.

Quick update bought a helmet on the way home.

First outing is Curborough tomorrow, only had it a week hehe

Looks like quite a small track and I think the car will be a bit big on the circuit, I have been itching to take it out though so will have to see how it goes.

Had a good time today on track. Slightly dodgy second gear crunched a few times will have to see if it gets any worse.

Got some videos will upload later.
