Porsche Boxster S

I've had this car since December, but I've only just got round to having the tatty wheels refurbished and the (faded) pink brake callipers re-painted. Really pleased with it and even if I do say so myself, it does scrub up rather well!

My friends have set themselves a challenge - to buy sub £500 RWD cars and drive them around Europe for a few weeks. The Volvo is one of the cars bought for that

My brother's just bought a silver with blue Boxster S on a 59 plate.
He drives like a granny though, so the car's rather wasted on him!

Excellent looking cars RD valeted my Impreza a while back when I first got in and a neighbour thought it was new! - at that point it was 8 years old

What are the running costs like?

Pretty reasonable, it averages about 20mpg in town, 30mpg on the motorway and the servicing costs seem to be pretty decent - about £250 for a basic service. Saying that, I did have to have the IMS bearing replaced but that was done under the warranty provided when I bought the car. I think the bill for that would have been circa £800 otherwise.

What BHP is this one? Plenty of punch?

As it's a MY2002 it would be the 250bhp version - gives a decent amount of power and you get the classic Porsche torque delivery.

I get 20mpg around town in my Focus ST. I fancy a Boxster S 987 but the running costs put me off. Insurance was only around £450 (currently pay around £340).
