My first cars: Corsa, TT & Insignia

Never done a proper reader's car post before except for when I got my Insignia, I'm a bit bored so I thought I may aswell make one about the 3 cars I've owned so far.
First car:
1.2 Corsa SXI (2009 covered 14,000 miles) (Price £6,500)
Haven't got any pictures of the actual car but it was the same as this:
Then I got the SRI bodykit fitted, the gloss black limited edition alloys fitted and it looks like this:
It was a great first car for me and it didn't have one problem with it from the day I got it. The only thing that wanted me to change the car was it looked good however it was slow and boring to drive.
Very economical!
Second car:
3.2 V6 Audi TT (2006 56, covered 73,000 miles) (Price £10,500)
Loved it, really fun to drive and felt safe with the 4WD around the corners. The sound of the V6 was good too, not too loud but just right for me.
Didn't have any problems with this really other than one day when the discs were making a loud squealing noise - found out it was because the pads were slightly too big for the discs.
The only thing I didn't like was there was hardly any room in the back seats (it's more of a 2 seater really).
Third car (current car):
2.8T Insignia VXR (2009 59, covered 27,400 miles, now about 30,500) (Price £16,500)

I didn't know whether to get a Focus RS or the insignia VXR. The Focus RS stands out a bit too much for my liking so I went for the insignia, that looks like a normal hatchback to some (ignoring the 20" wheels lol).
I would have had a VXR8 but I couldn't get insured on that.
Another great car, with the added fun of VXR mode
Like how it's faster than the Audi TT but much more practical!
The difference from standard mode to VXR is a lot, it feels so much faster in VXR.
Only problem (Touch wood***) is the steering makes a whining noise when turning at slow speeds; for example on the drive but it seems it's a common problem and it doesn't affect how it steers so I just have to ignore it.
Bad points:
It's not good on fuel, a lot worse than the Audi TT but I did expect that. It does about 20mpg or less and I have to put around £70-100 in most weeks (only £20-30 in the corsa lol!) depending how much I drive, I do drive quite a lot though.[url]

I forgot to mention, the TT and Insignia are great in the snow too having 4WD.
In this picture, the insignia behind me (Front wheel drive) got stuck there for about half an hour while mine went through it with no problem. The snow doesn't look that deep there but it seemed worse than it looked. It was actually quite fun driving in the snow.

I bet you enjoy the smoothness of six cylinders & I love the VXR's colour too. dm46 said:

I thought I'd regret choosing the Insignia over the RS, I wanted a car I could use everyday and I don't think I'd like the RS for that. The interior looks really basic/cheap to me too, I know it's about the power with those cars but I want a bit of quality too 
It was a hard decision to be honest because I've always like the RS (especially the looks), I'll probably end up with an RS next

I'm about to get a insignia too, although mine is a estate a diesel and a estate. Which I'm just over the moon about! Work needs must!
