Last week I sold my very nice Mercedes C320 CDI as I am going away for a bit and did not think it worth having an 'expensive' car sitting in the garage.
The hunt started for something cheaper but enjoyable and, after owning 6 BMWs in the past, I was on the lookout for an E39 / 46. After wasting a couple of days viewing 'excellent condition' cars that turned out to be utter rubbish, I stumbled across this little number.
The car is a 2001 BMW 530i SE. It is a one owner car, 72k, Full BMW Service History with an Inspection II recently carried out and it is in really good condition (even better than the photos suggest).

The car was sold less than 24 hrs after it appeared online but the sale fell through and Darren, owner of Sprint Cars, called me back and I jumped on the train. What a fantastic chap to deal with and his cars are all first rate. I even used the £100 deposit the other chap had left!

Drives really well and has that solid feeling that an E39 brings. It even has a working glove box torch and full tool kit!

The only slight issue is a vibration that is not the usual 50 - 60 mph shimmy so may need another balance. It is running new Avons on the rear and P6000s on the front but that should not cause a problem - will drop into my Indy for them to have a look.
Also good to be back on 16" alloys after driving around on 18" on my other cars.
So far, so good.

It cheked out brilliantly!
Darren picked me up from the station and took me back to his showroom which is at the bottom of his amazing house and grounds.
The car was in the garage part in cracking condition and he let me just get on with it and go for a drive.
A really good place to buy a car.
Pleased thus far and you don't get many for the price in ths condition.
