Hi All,

Last week me and my girlfriend both got new cars, so I thought I would kill some time in work and show you them.

Firstly is my new car. 2008 Alfa Romeo Spider LE in white with tan leather (best colour combo, but of course i am biast). I had been looking for a new car for a while and would change my mind daily but the alfa had always been a favourite for mine, and one came up for sale by me so it was too hard to turn down! It is my second car and i am loving every second of it. Bought for £11,800 with 46,000 Miles on the clock in near enough mint condition.

Fair to say i get a few funny looks of older men driving round in it with the roof down, but i cant complain.

The only problem i am facing is the fuel economy, but i guess nothing is perfect!

All in all i am chuffed to bits.

A few pics below, will take some proper ones soon.

And then last night my girlfriend picked up her first car a 1500 Hillman Minx (not actually 100% sure on the year of the top of my head).

She picked it up for £1400 and is going to be learning to drive in it. It has 60,000 ish miles on the clock and even came with a few free country and western cassettes! Bargain!!

She plans to Spray the top a light blue and getting it all re trimmed inside and a general tidy up of it.

Hope you enjoy!

The Alfa looks really nice. smile
The Minx looks cool and should be good for learning to drive in. Compared to modern cars the classic like your Minx have excellent visability from the drivers seat, both front and rear. Should be much easier for her to reverse backwards

Like 'em both OP, but the fuel economy is pretty eye-watering on the Spider! I get more than that out of my '63. Is yours the V6/4WD variant?
