Seriously, well done on getting the insurance that cheap. These cars are biblically slow, but they must also be near the top of the league tables when it comes to getting crashed by young drivers.

I don't even have the insurance yet, just a quote I was looking at, Im gonna have to look around a lot though, on confused.com the cheapest quote without mods declared was £1080, with the mods declared £3500

It's a Corsa B not a 3. Is it the standard engine? It's incredible if just putting on some alloys lowering it and a couple of cosmetic bits triple the insurance!

Clearly the insurance isn't £1080 then, it's £3500, unless you're going to put it back to standard? Just a suggestion, but why not get a standard car with no mods, keep it for 2 years whilst you build some NCB, then go get something better after that?

Looking good I've had quotes for about 2/2.5k on a Corsa C/D 1.0 Life/Active/Breeze, the SXI and SRI 1.2's are in group 2 insurance as opposed to group one, so I think my first car will be one of them. I say put it back to standard, around a grand for insurance is the stuff of dreams for me! Haha

Standard headlights, wheels and suspension shouldn't be that hard to source/fit, you may even find someone willing to do a swap

I know it's a corsa B, the 3 was meant to be "<3" :L

Not even joking, the insurance is messed up, even just a bodykit puts it all the way up to £3200.

Looks nice but I wouldn't pay that for insurance.

My first proper car was a 1.4 MK4 Fiesta and that was around the £1200 mark which made me clench.

Should of bought a standard car.

Also, have you thought about doing Pass Plus? Should lower your premium

It's got the GSi front bumper and side skirts before you consider anything else.
Insurance companies will just say "same insurance as the GSi then"

Just to put your quote into perspective, I've been getting quotes for well over £3000 on little stters and I'm in a B rated postcode.

You may think it looks Chavvy but I think it looks nice. I certainly am not a "chav".

Tbh i'm not sure if I will actually be buying this, I had kinda agreed to but after the insurance and what not im not to sure, I could always buy it, remove the bodykit, keep it in good condition and then once my no claims is built up I add it back on.
