Picked this up on Saturday to replace my old B7 S4 Avant.

Metallic Blue with Black leather and is really well specc'd. Very comfortable and pretty rapid too!

Very smart. It won't disappoint, we've had our C6 2.4 Saloon for 7 years/100k. Doesn't look or feel its age, technology still up there with the new boys. Cracking pieces of kit.

Be honest, how does performance compare to the previous car?

So far I have to say honestly I am very impressed with the performance.

It certainly feels quicker off the line than the S4, the gearbox also feels quicker. The only thing I miss is that 'Milltek enhanced' V8 noise.

Will let you know how its going after a few more miles, but taking it down to Italy in a fortnight, so should have a good test then.

Just out of interest what gains am I likely to see from a re-map?

Thanks,

Really? Sounds good.

So much for saying I won't modify this one........... Maybe I will look into it.

Will need to be later this year though, as don't have the cash at the moment what with the holiday etc round the corner.

Thanks for the info.

Keen to hear how you get on with this. Next year I will either sell the E46 and get an E92 335D or maybe something like this. Economy seems to be not far off and it would be lovely to get back into a petrol motor.

We have a C5 4.2 V8 at the minute, which has given me a new found appreciation for the Audis, and I have always enjoyed the "go anywhere, in any weather" aspect of 4WD, having had a couple of Subarus before the A6.

Have fun in Italy smile
