Bought this as a weekend car at the beginning of July and I absolutely love it! I've never owned a fast car or one that handles like this does, big smiles all the way biggrin. I hadn't planned to modify it but I'm feeling the need for some spacers and maybe a subtle height drop, I'll see. It's the SMG 'box which I'm still getting used to but I do like it, the throttle blip on downshift is brilliant rotate

It always surprises me to hear people mention this when they're driving an auto that blips on downshifts. I suspect they never did it themselves in a manual...

I have tried it in previous cars but never got much success, probably because I'm crap at it smile

Stunning, designwise the E46 - E39 - E38 really are BMW at it's very best imo.

Not generally required on the road unless you are pushing along..., or on track.

Looks lovely that.

Springs maybe but spacers will really spoil it.. Leave it how it is.

Lovely looking example.

Don't ruin it by fitting springs and spacers, after spending an absolute fortune on my E46 on Eibachs, then Intraxx coil overs, I put it back to stock before selling it, as a road car it was far far better on the original suspension

Those chaps at ///M know what they are doing, e46 CS is a fine example of this

This actually surprises you...? So what if they never did it in a manual? Must make them less of a petrol head, I guess... What an odd comment.

Lovely car, OP. Such a nice colour in the metal.

This too.. I had Eibach Pro's on my old 335d.. It looks great but you couldn't go as quick across country. It'd hop and skip across ruts and bumps that the original suspension didn't feel.

yes The recent/current offerings leave me a little cold. A shame they're getting on a bit too much now. frown
