Absolutely. I can't remember the last time I felt so manly. Im now scanning eBay for cars that need new engines. No stopping me now!Vitorio said:

I may well be mistaken on BHP im no lawnmower expert, i've only ever started it up twice its the gardeners pride and joy.

True dat, my first engine job was replacing the head gasket in a tiny little fiat, took me many months (didnt have much time available, and i decided that while i had the head off i might as well swap in a high lift cam, which then meant re-shimming etc..), but having the engine fire up the first time after putting it back together was definitely one of the more glorious moments of my life
(after a good hour of swearing and mucking about with HT leads mind you, turns out it was running on three cilinders not because of the headgasket, but broken plug-lead)Edited by Vitorio on Friday 6th September 15:00
