Well its been three months since I convinced my dad to take the plunge and move away from porsche for something a little more exotic wink. So far the f430 has been fantastic we love everything about, it just on a whole different level to anything we have had before. We don't think it is hugely faster than the cars we have had before, but the way it goes about it is just so much more exciting.

There have been some heart breaking moments though. My parents took it away to Geneva for 2 weeks and they had a fantastic journey out not taking any motorway I don't think my dad has enjoyed any drive as much as that one. Then after the first week of storming mountain passes the gearbox decided it didn't like 5th or 6th and kept over heating every few hours so he had to stop. Then to add insult to injury he didn't see a speed bump and took several chunks out of the bumper. At this point I got angry phone call telling me I'm an idiot for convincing him to buy such a useless fragile car. He actually told me to see if there where any 997 turbo S's for sale. Once my parents got the car home only being able to use up to 4th gear we sent it down to Autofficina where we found that the guys there are extremely helpful, it helped that the car had actually passed through them before. Amazingly everything got fixed in 4 days including a respray of the front and we got a piece of mind because we worried that this just might be the way ferrari's are but were told there is no reason we couldn't drive it everyday if we wanted to.

When we got it back it ran so much nicer so we went for a 4 hour drive on the Norfolk coast to remind ourselves why we love it so much.

Hope this isn't insanely boring please excuse the poor writing.

I did enjoy following it on the breakfast run....until it dissappeared into the distance!

Looking at the rear wing it looks like it maybe a race version.

Lovely car! Nice to see one not in red!

Autoficinia guys are a good bunch!
Elias knows his stuff, from the older cars to the newer ones.
The F40 is a track only car. Roughly 600bhp I believe. Built to race in a series. Now owned by a private individual, don't know much more about it.

I know that car, test drove it in March 2012 when it was at Autofficina. Took my mate with me, I didn't buy it but he did, he moved to back to another Lambo after a few months.

Grigio Silverstone and Bordeaux leather with the sports seat is a great combo, the Scuderia wheels work lovely on it as well. Enjoy!
