Mine and a friends BM's, mines the E46 330i saloon, his is the 118d.
The bike is a Suzuki Bandit 650 K5, picture was taken on the drive/ride back from Birmingham, which was around 200 miles, rather late at night.
I've done some work on the 330, Vredstein tyres all round, new pads and discs, new alternator and a rocker cover gasket. It's taking shape, I need a new rear shock absorber and planning on a full service - Oil, filters, plugs.

His was 18.8 times as much as mine! Even though we earn the same (ish)
I have a commuter car (1.2 clio) that I didn't post because nobody is really interested.
I must admit though, I was surprised how quick the 1 series could move, it's not anywhere near as fast as my 330 top end, but it's not slow like I thought it would be!

Me to, was expecting a Lexus RS200 or perhaps a converted MR2.Beems has to be one of the worst ways of describing a BMW that I have ever heard, and for the record I think beemers & B.M's sounds rather awful to.

I hope you can file this away in your mind with the rest of your first world problems, maybe ponder it while your killing yourself over what milk to have in your latte or what shade of beige carpet to put in your living room which you likely insist is a drawing room, or some other term borrowed from a latent aristocratical vocabulary.

Haha that reaction was unexpected yet entertaining. The E46 330 is my preferred choice.

Very strange reaction? I too thought this was a typo of 'Beams' engines which appear in cars. I was hoping for a Beamed Celica personally.Not sure why you felt the need to post such a response? Were you implying that others have dull lives if they are into Beam cars? Yet, you drive a BMW, which is far more linear and mundane in comparison? Oh well...

Haha! Well said, some of the moody comment of car forums at the moment are getting boring. So you expected something else or don't like they way he phrased his title. It just doesn't really matter, I'm here for the cars.By the way, you mentioned you need a new shock? In case you weren't going to, replace both sides. Makes sense to have suspension components of the same age/use on each corner.
