Well, ok, it isnt quite as exciting as some of the stuff on here but it is proving a worthy replacement for,




Ok, not quite as pretty or rare but better in every other way really and less time consuming, well apart from all the cleaning since the photos were
taken or changing the exhaust.

I do prefer the Porsche though!

Yeah, was expecting that, the Porsche is prettier by a fair margin, that is a flattering photo, its bright red and it was a nice car, just too much like hard work, no garage and need reliability, the 944 was apt to not want to start when hot (as I told the new owner), the 350 is just fun, pure relaxation, a few luxuries and a decent amount of shove, not massively quicker than the 944, mine was a very fit one that managed to hang onto the tail of a recent Mitsubishi Evo a lot longer than either I or the owner expected (based on short conversation and thumbs up). Miss looking out and seeing the bright red but not missing the unpredictability !

I know what you mean, unreliability is an issue, takes the fun out of it when you don't know if it will start or not!

And a lack of creature comforts, scuttle shake, rust, it being in bits, the list goes on, was a lovely thing and I did so much to it, hopefully the new owner gets the benefit and gets it to being fully dependable like it was when they were a new car.

Nice, as you get older you just want something that starts and is reliable. 944 is lovely but nowadays should really be a garaged weekend toy.

350z is good compromise.

I am quite happy with the wife driving this, not that she was daunted by any car, she used to drive Fiat 500s's and sint one of those that is bothered by anything bigger than a Micra, it just doesnt have the same quirks and foibles.

Few things still to sort,

The new exhaust came with some elbows from the back box that hadnt been bent properly into 90 degrees so the company is despatching some new ones, combination of a company called Cougar Store who supplied it and Cobra exhausts, service from the Cougar Store has been fantastic, highly recommended.

Few parking dings on the passenger for the dent man to have a go at.

Temporarily fettled the wheels, proper refurb next year, previous owner had kerbed all but one and some corrosions (surprising) had appeared on a couple.

Migth put a better stereo head unit in with GPS, phone integration, memory card support etc

Brake pads not far off due, so researching options but with the mileage I do, might last another year.

Other than that, run it and enjoy.

Rays wheels do bubble, it's very common
