So I finally made a decision after this thread a couple of months ago http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Picked this up today, 87k on the clock and FSH with invoices.

Very pleased with it, drives so so much better than the earlier CLK's. Vision with no pillars is amazing, sat with the criuse on all the way home and performed perfectly. Best of all, an absolute bargain

Blimey that's cheap!

A proper 6 cylinder engine in a modern car with a sporty enough body - very nice!

And it looks like an expensive merc coupe to everyone else at work!

Yep, guy put it up on the bay for what he was going to get P/Ex but didn't want to let the dealer have it. Lucky I was looking and called him within minutes of the ad going live. Car was exactly as described, interior is like new, everything works as it should. Car was 250mile away, I'm south london. Genuine seller agreed to hold it for me until today as I was first in line. Said he was getting 5 calls a day on it.
Private plate om monday smile

NOooooo!cruise........

Only thing it needs is a new stereo or ipod / bluetooth , handsfree. Single cd player does not cut it.

Very nice. I posted on your previous thread in favour of the C70 but that looks lovely and a bargain price. Since your original thread my next door neighbour has bought a 270 CDI one of these as well.

IMO it really doesn't need the wheels. Why would you want to ruin the ride and double the price of the tyres?

Get some wheels and a plate wink

Its so nice to get into the CLK and go for a relaxing waft.... And the sound of the V6 is sublime.

I was heading down the c70 cab route but kept missing the few T5 GT's for sale. I'd not even looked at the later shape clk, I was looking at the smaller c class coupe/hatch and earlier clk when this came up and just couldn't pass it up for the price. So pleased I went for it, so much more modern than the C70. Ive been using a friends V70R (silly quick ) so have a good comparison. Also in a defferent different league to the older clk ( still a good car in my books).

Bonus, I've had a proper look at the paperwork, last service was just over 1500miles ago and also had 4 new pirelli's at the same time, thought the tyres looked newish.

Did I mention 11 months MOT , 5 months Tax

Some pictures from the advert of the interior. See that Stereo. Anyone got suggestions for something more modern without look to out of place. Single or double din, Ideally I'd like Full Ipod control, Bluetooth Music and handsfree. already missing the music from my last car.

Looks immaculate, unlike most of the other sub 3k clks I've seen! Would've snapped this up if I didn't pick up my e46 a month ago.
