Hey there thought I would post up my new car that I got about 4 months back, some of you may of remembered me from my last car; The lovely Corsa D 1 Litre that I posted up which got a great response! 80% bad response but it made me have a laugh (if you want to have a look just click here: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Car Info:
Fuel: Diesel
Engine: 2 Litre Turbo
Original Power: 177 BHP
Alloys: BMW MV4 19" M SPORT DOUBLE SPOKE
Mileage: 115K Miles

So as of today I have not done much to it, but I do have some changes I want to apply:

In the next few weeks the car is getting a whole engine rebuild, this is because this is one of the 177 engines that had a mechanically weak crank shaft design flaw so BMW are replacing the crank shaft and the timing chain which is great!

After this ill be taking the car to a company called ECO TUNE which will do an ECU remap and remove the DPF and catalytic converter (this will bring the car up to the 220-230 BHP region)

I'm getting the alloys refurbished as there is some wear and tear on the edges and just general fade

Spacers of about 25mm will be bought just to bring out the wheels to the arches to make it that bit more flush.

Already have bought blue led H8 bulbs for the ringlets but the heat syncs are way to big so going to either get them filed down or just get new ones was a bit annoying said they would fit but seriously is no way to get them into the housing so that was £80 down the drain!

Replacing the Bridgestone tyres on the front to Pirelli tyres mostly because I don't think the bridge stones grip as well (got the Pirellis on the back)

Planning on buying the newer 2012 back M Sport bumper since the new one has a nicer look.

Replacing stock speakers as they are a tad blown

Things I have done:

My customised plate on: last picture shows it other pictures were before I got it on

Thanks smile

Should be able to ECO Tune have done a lot of these 177 engines and all come out around that kind of BHP, if you get the hybrid turbo also it makes quite a difference but that will be when I am able to afford that though because it is quite expensive :P

Looks like up the back of Greenock, and a Clyde tunnel shot... My old 335i used to sound nice through there.

looks very nice. i've got a 2012 120d m sport coupe. i've had it mapped to 228bhp 384ft lb torque. also the revs are upped to 4k. i also get 65mpg on a long run. it's the best car i've had so far.

Yep you got it correct, love that road especially when you get a bit of air when it comes to the straight

Lovely looking car.

Spacers and blue lights will just ruin it :-(

Leave it how it is, including the silver wheels (if you were thinking of changing their colour)

Well its already got Xenon's its just that the 2009 models didn't have the led ringlets yet so I wanted to get them since my mothers car has them and it really does out do mine lol

Don't worry I wont be changing the colour of the wheels like them as they are just want to get them refurbished so they look nice and fresh again, the spacers I still plan on doing to be honest im sure it wont be too noticeable.

At the "lord is your saviour" or whatever sign? Depending on how fast your car is there are plenty more places to fly along there. I'm from Kilmacolm originally so have driven it a lot in all my cars over the years.

Nice car - I have those mods, plus BMW PE, wheels and upgraded brakes. Stopped modding it now, probably will put the lip spoiler on and that'll be it. Looking to change in the next 18 months - fancy a change, so TT-S next in Sprint blue smile

Did BMW offer this rebuild as part of a goodwill, or are you contributing?

Very nice man like the new exhaust you got there too, I have to pay for labour but they are paying for the parts so the whole job costs £4.5k I only have to pay £1.5k which I was quite pleased with considering its done 115k miles smile

Lovely cars these, so much more appealing than a saloon.

Good job the chavvy blue light bulbs didn't fit though eh?!

Haha they aren't chavvy they are the same colour as the BMWs with the led ringlets (probably my mistake to say blue!)

Ahh rite.. I changed the angel eyes on my old 335d to LED but they were bright white not blue. Looked good. I wouldn't have blue though.
