That looks fantastic. I love it all, apart from the gear knob. I've never really liked those cylindrical shifters on anything other than a sports car where you sit with the transmission tunnel running along side you. They remind me of a sequential shifter but are less pleasant to use when you're not just clicking back and forth.

I hope this goes better than the last guy that put his evo 6 on here
I'm new and clueless??
Doesn't sound good though!!
In reply to the above comments:-
-I have a ralliart gearnob to replace the garish blue one however it has grown on me i can't lie... it has comfortable 'girth'...
- I have kept the amber lights as I myself am unsure on what I prefer...
- The main issues with the evos are rust as you said you really do need one in good condition and need to put all procedures in place to keep it rust free. I recently saw a lovely looking evo sold for spares as the underside was rotten as a pair.
There are plenty of replacement engines, upgradeable turbos etc. from newer model evos that can be used as replacements however if well maintained and serviced regularly they seem to look after you as much as you look after them.
Clutches dependent on power can be quite sacrificial, one reason I got a twin plate as standard assembly will eventually start slipping as you get closer to 400bhp...
AYC is another main issue, but not experienced issues myself.

People called him on it, and told him changing X and Y was daft (though he could do what he wanted with his car)
Hissy fit.

Ahhh I see some people can't take the constructive criticism and get a little too defensive when it comes to their cars.
I was in the market for a 6,7 or 8 and after driving a selection of them I had mixed feelings the 7/8 had their positives over the 6 and some prefer the looks (especially my girlfriend of the newer models)
For me though the 6 just felt as though it had that bit more soul...

Cheers bradderz!!
The guy that I bought it off who bought it direct from an import specialist must of had it done that way upon arrival. I have a real dislike to the random foglight chucked on the back or mounted in the rear bumper.
The guy I bought it off was a true enthusiast and I keep learning things about the car that he did (positives) that I never even realised when I purchased it.
Only a few days ago I learned it had a full superpro bushkit which are in the region of £800 along with a eeciept for the fast road geo set-up..
All those things really do make it feel a tight and solid car.
