one shot of each of my cars. some current, some now gone, some boring, some reasonably interesting
fair few I can't find pics of also - I'm missing pics of a red 306 dturbo, a j reg astra 1.4L haha, a green p reg vectra, a black mk4 golf tdi, a p reg 1.5 civic, an sv650 bike, and prolly more.
I am allowed a pic of one of each of em, right?
reckon the firedance (orange) 206 was the one I spent most time cleaning

just an AJP4.2 - I guess the most interesting thing about my cerb was the set of rims I had fitted - volk 57S-Pro - pretty expensive set of rims, never saw another like them on the road - that's real titanium causing that effect, not some colour changing paint.Cerb was a mistake to be honest, entered into ownership without doing my homework, and bought one cheaply which hadn't been given the care they need. spent about 15k on it in the space of a year or so, replacing so, so many mechanical parts. I should have either been willing to tackle more of the maintenance myself or made sure I had a local specialist before buying it. I also wish I had taken my time with the purchase. if anyone wants to buy a cerb, I'd reccommend they find the most OCD perfectionist enthusiast owner they can find, and just pay them whatever they have to in order to take their car. And then continue giving it that same level of care.
Interesting car to drive, On the track it was possible to be fast, but good jesus it took all my concentration and wrestling with the wheel to do so, it made me giggle that the guys in the porsches that I'd be trying to keep up with were doing the same times without putting in half the effort. Still it's kind of endearing, it makes you work, so you could say it's rewarding driving. Even after replacing the _entire_ air conditioning system, it was infuriating that the damn aircon on these cars never gives out anything more than like a mouse's breath of cold air. Whereas I could drive 120+ on a road that allows it with minimal concentration in a lot of modern capable cars, I'm pretty sure there's not many people that feel relaxed/bored driving a cerb at those speeds. Maybe it's just that I've not had other cars like it, but it's a little alarming when the bonnet starts to strain upwards , the wipers start to lift up the windscreen somewhat etc. - one other thing that might have been peculiar to my car - over 100, often the boot would pop open and lift up, always wondered what that says about the aerodynamics, since I'd have expected/hoped the forces to be downwards on the boot. I don't think the hydratrak is a great thing either. Having said all this, I can totally understand why people are passionate about the cerb for many reasons. The child in me always loved the backfiring on the overrun - once you've got used to the car, you get used to it and can perfect the timing so you can make it happen exactly as you want on demand, going past a dodgy high rise block of flats late at night once, two dodgy looking youths hanging around both dived on the ground once as I went past after I let off a couple of loud bangs right next to them, I think they thought it was a drive by shooting

hmm, well you have a fair reason to hate the 5 I guess. chavvy numberplate? yes, guilty. fake m5? arguably guilty, obviously no m5 mirrors/front wings, and I didn't badge it as an m5, so it's not like I was ever trying to claim it as an M5. tints? guilty. actually now I'm looking over my pics, there's more hints of chav around, the batman logo on the toyota IQ, and again, tints.
those awful rims/caliper painting/tints on the skyline were not my doing, I had only just picked up the car, and soon sorted that out after.
The daihatsu charade (the lilac thing) was my favourite car of all. I bought it for £850, it performed impeccably, cost ridiculously little to run (£30 tax, 60mpg), it had aircon, 4 seats/doors, and the more everyone else mocked me for driving it, the more I resolved to keep using it. My workplace has a large number of flash cars, there's not many low value vehicles in the large car park, and it used to give me great joy to get in early and take the best parking spot with the daihatsu. People refused to accept that I was a car enthusiast, that it was possible for me to drive it every day. tell you what, that little 3cylinder 1L engine was a sweet little thing, and it's one of the lightest cars ever made. if anyone needs a supercheap daily beater, I highly recommend one.
Great collection love the Lamborghini. I know where you went with the Cerb I am in that hole as well but mine is a keeper now I made the mistake of buying a bit of a heep and have spent as much as you have and hundreds of hours if time working at it, but I enjoy that aspect of Tvr on my 3rd one now.

haha I was really annoyed afterwards that I had left a screwdriver in the pic, I can't remember why I was carrying it now, I doubt anything related to the car.S430L (Long wheel base s class) - the rear seats recline! you know those mercedes electric seat controls like this
well there was one of them for the left rear passenger, but it also had a two way switch beneath it, the idea is that the rear passenger on that side can give themselves a crazy amount of legroom by flicking the switch forward which allows that switch to then control the seat in front of it! (so they can move it forward for superextra leg room) - the hilarious thing about this is that there seemed to be no safety check to see whether there was a front passenger, so a prankster in the rear seat could flick the switch forward, and start sending the person sitting in front of them towards the dashboard to the point where the front passenger starts to panic and think they're going to be crushed to death. most funny party trick.

Looking back at the M5 now I think it's the spoiler above the window and the tints that I dislike, there's just something about is that doesn't quite work IMO but I can't pinpoint it. As you say the only M5 bit is the bumper and exhaust so I don't hate it for that, and looking back now I think hate was a bit of a strong word! I reckon I would have just preferred it standard.Out of curiosity which cars do you have currently?

Heh I see you share similar likes with a forester and a chim - neighbour's legacy 3.0R spec b was written off last week, always made me really want a non-obvious scoob like a legacy or forester.The skyline? hmm... r33, only a gts-t (single turbo), not gtr. the interior very dated looking by modern standards, definitely not going to impress anyone in terms of interior, even though very clean inside, very 80s cheapy plasticky. has some sort of limiter on it out of the box which limits the speed to 111mph, thought that was surprising, most european limiters are more like 155. Didn't think it was a fast car at all, I guess most of the fast skylines are heavily modified, or perhaps the gtr is a different league to the gts-t.
To be honest I think it's hard to enjoy a skyline without every baseball-hatted youf wanting to act like they're your mate, and unless you have an r35 or a very subtle-looking older variant, the rest of society will assume you're some sort of scumbag. it definitely has an image associated with it. If I go for turbo and 4wd again, I think I'll be looking for audi or subaru.

yeah, kind of made me angry too (previous owner) , worse, kerbed replicas. just seems weird to put such a trademark bmw stamp on a jap car.
