Had this car for a little while now and only finally got round to posting about it. Searched for a little while to find one in as good a condition as this and I have kept it this way in my ownership. Previous cars included an E60 545i (also a V8) but this is a totally different animal! Some say they are a little down on power from the advertised 414bhp but I must admit it feels the full ticket to me and is a super sonorous V8. Yes its designed with a modicum of practicality but I would not want to run it as my only car mostly as I would be concerned about ruining it.

Its proved perfectly reliable, takes a little while to get used to driving it smoothly but the flexibility of that power plant is fantastic, it can cruise on the M5 just as well as it can destroy the A494 from Bala to Dolgellau. And trust me 30mpg is possible on a run wink

Here are a few pics while it is clean

Unfortunately this car will be for sale soon due to an impending house move, I know I will come to regret this!

You're doing well to get 30mpg out of it, I did 45k miles in my old B7 RS4 and averaged around 20, with close to 25 on a slow run

Got to be tickling it around for 30mpg, average is about 26mpg which I am happy with. Clearly audi have some stiff competition now in this sector (N/A big motor) but back in 2006 when these were released it was quite exceptional at this time, I wished I could justify holding onto it as I expect it will attain classic status at some point. Merc almost had me reaching for the cheque book though with the C63, a friend of mine at work has one....just wow, quite a bold car with a bold engine smile

I remember the first I saw of it was that race clarkson did against some guys on mountain bikes, it was a red saloon and sounded fabulous.

Lovely RS4
Fair enough, I shall retract my statement!

On a more positive note, this is my favourite colour for RS4's - subtle but looks great.

Looks really nice, I really like that colour, it's a lot better than the usual black.
