Good cars and you have all the right options on that one. However that is not a sport front bumper.

Great cars. I only plan to replace my 04 330ci when it gets too tired (which will be quite a while).

The front bumper is from an SE. Either the car has been crashed and repaired cheaply or one of the previous owners has replaced the other sport parts and hasn't done the front bumper. Either way it looks like it has a good spec with the nav and Harmon Kardon.

Enjoy yourself smile

Have just done a HPI check, and it all comes back clear so like you say it could have been crashed and repaired cheaply but not declared to insurance.

Will see what garage says when pick it up aswell.

Judging by the black headlining, its a genuine sport that has been involved in an accident where the incorrect front bumper has been fitted. Shame, for 2 reasons, one the OP didnt notice it, two, its a very nice spec.

Might not have been a crash, my mother once ripped the bumper off the mounting points on her Passat due to reversing over a high kerb...needed a new bumper (original bumper was beyond the point of repair)

It may have been repaired to a high standard but the bumper supplied was incorrect and the repairer didnt know. Could well just be a case of a new bumper and off you go

Hate when places do this. Personally I don't think that front bumper looks all that bad, but I would want to know why (what seems to be) such a nice condition/low mileage/highly specced car has the 'wrong' bumper on it!

+1, this is more suspicious than the car having the wrong bumper IMO, why are they trying to cover it up?

Garage trying to bull st you regarding the bumper I'm afraid. As the picture above shows, that's the bumper it should have. The one it's got is the standard SE bumper for that year.

It's also very pricey for a 12 year old car, low miles or not.

Nappa leather option too..

If you decide to go through with the purchase check the headlight washers work correctly. I notice the washer fluid light is on the dash, the washers may be leaking causing it to drain the tank.

It sounds petty but it's not a particularly cheap fix.

Sport bumpers do get stolen

Also so check the headlamp washers, it's not a cheap fix if leaking

If it had a front end dink that could marry both of the issues up
