Ive had this for 6 months now so thought I would pop a thread on it. The previous owner spend over £6000 on it having an Audi S3 engine fitted with full miltek exhaust including sports cat, remap, uprated triple plate clutch, r32 brakes etc etc.
Anyway heres some photos I took the other day.

Very nice
Amazing how a splash of paint can transform the GTI rear diffuser/valance, the unpainted ones look so crap in comparison.
Have you had it dyno'd?
No I havent had it dyno'd yet but a standard S3 with just a remap makes 300bhp. Nearest spec I could find on the forums was dyno'd at 316bhp and 343lbft but this had the full decat instead of the sports cat.

It is a lovely looking thing, one of the nicest Golf's I've seen in fact. But why didn't you/the previous owner just buy a golf gti edition 30 :S? They remap up to 300bhp too and wouldn't have needed £6k spending to get there? I'm all for modifications but it just seems, well a bit stupid?lewisf182 said:

I agree and I would never spend that sort of money on a car like that. The previous owner bought the car and a few weeks later had knocking from the engine. He took it to a specialist who offered him either a rebuild or to source a low mileage S3 engine so he went for that and I think it just went abit out of control. When I was looking to buy I wanted a edition 30 but they fetch a premium over a standard gti and I dont like the rear bumper when its been fully body coloured. I also looked at the R32 but the extra weight, poor fuel economy and higher maintenance costs for a slower car ment I decided to hunt down a suitably modified normal gti and found this.
I paid pretty much the same money for this as you would pay for a standard gti.

Fair do's then looks like you got a cracking deal if same price as a normal GTi. Must be an absolute beast! When I was looking to buy I wanted a edition 30 but they fetch a premium over a standard gti and I dont like the rear bumper when its been fully body coloured.
