2002 Clio 172 'Cup'

Not sure what i am going to do with this yet, either sell it or try and convince myself that i have enough time in my life to use it for some track fun - Either way, i have this sitting in front of the house (well, actually my brothers house).
I'll put her through an MOT next week, and decide from there..... Its a purposefull looking little thing though, and my wife once had a full fat 172, so i am aware that they are a lot of fun!!

I never had an issue with the wheel on my Fabia. Was noted "Wheel modified for track use" or words to that effect.

This is a fantastic colour. Looking at these myself at the mo for use as a toy.

I am hoping the car will go through the MOT with the aftermarket wheel (the airbag light is not on).....
I do believe the 172 Cup normally comes with fog lamps, however this car has been fitted with brake cooling ducts (as used on the Clio Cup race cars) that replace the fog lamps.

The downside of this being that the Carbon canister has to be removed - i understand they get removed anyway, by lots of owners??
This does however through up an amber 'check engine light' (as verified on a fault code reader as a P0443 code) this clears, but comes back after a while - I'll have to clear it just before it goes through its MOT.....

I have not driven the car yet as work and having the kids has not afforded me the time, but my brother has driven it at reports it to be in fine fettle.

I love it, really clean! I had one before my e36, they are really fun cars, just watch out in the wet as the lack of ABS caught me out a few times. If the MOT tester tells you it's missing a rear brake bias arm then tell him they didn't come with one, caught a few people out before.

People do remove the canister as they sometimes develop a click which is unbelievably annoying. Suspension refresh is one of the best things you can do as they really do handle well when tight.

Rear anti roll bar and you are onto a winner! Get onto Cliosport.net if you haven't already, absolute wealth of knowledge on there.
