Not sure how this happened - Citroen DS3

So, I have somehow come to own a 2012 Citroen DS3 Dsport THP155.
I had a VW Golf R for a while...
That I did a lot of miles in. Great car in a lot of ways, but I found I didn't really end up enjoying it as it was a bit too detached. Bloody fast though, even with just a remap and intake.
My gf also has started to learn to drive so I wanted something smaller and easier to drive. I looked at a few cars, Mini Cooper S, Ford Fiesta ST, BMW 1 series, Renault Clio 200 and nothing really clicked that well - they seemed either too slow, too bumpy on crappy Australian roads or too overpriced.
Then I expanded the search and ended up picking this up for an absolute bargain.

Just some quick camera phone shots.
It's actually bloody great fun. Slower than the R, but that is to be expected. But more engaging and lively.
Plan is for me to drive it for about 2 years, then pass it on to the GF as her car and I'll get something more interesting.
Freed up a lot of cash from the Golf which will be put away in the housing fund as I apparently have now become a tedious grown up.
Got a few plans for minor modifications, first up window tint as the Australian sun is bloody hot, then I might look at suspension and brake options.

New these retail for around 31kAUD onroad.
I picked this up with 8000kms on the clock for 20k. First registered May 2013, built end of 2012. The dealership lost the Citroen franchise and was selling the last of their stock at cheap prices. Second hand MY12 like mine sit at around 22-25k with higher kms.

Absolutely love this car mate. I drove one a few weeks ago and they are indeed a joy to drive. The is a certain elegant simplicity and rawness about how it handles if that makes sense.
Also did you have a build thread about your R somewhere on the Volkswagen forums? I think I've read about your R before.

I'm now investigation options for a downpipe, intercooler and maybe a cooper s JCW turbo, plus tune. Few more other bits and pieces.
Or, just importing the front cut of a Cooper S JCW GP if I can find one.
Also, unsurprisingly, I'm investigating options for putting that to the ground.
