So with a few intresting cars in the past i soon got bored going sensible after my recent house purchase. My old cars consisted of:
My first real pride and joy ph1 172

MK4 R32

ST3 that i sold for a 182 to get into cheap driving whilst the house was sorted out.

After a few months of getting the house sorted a good friend of mine picked up an skl55 amg and this had me wanting a new car! Me and the boss (misses) decieded to keep hold of the 182 due to cheap running costs and sell her beetle cab and buy a 'joint' car. The only issue i had to come to terms with is, it had to be a cab for her to be intrested in getting ride of her beetle.
I looked a audi TT-S's but it didnt really seem to click, quattro would be good as the r32 was great in snow but the 2.0 T engine just seemed to lack character a bit 'normal'. So i went looking just down the road at BMW and found a 135i, a little over budget but i was amazed at the spec.
Spec Dual clutch 7 speed auto box
Bmw assist
bmw online portal
Comfort assist
Cruise control
DAB radio
Electric seats and driver memory
Bluetooth
electric and auto dimming mirrors
Headlight assist
adaptive headlights
high beam assist
leather interior
harmon kardon system
m sport suspension and steering wheel
professional sat nav
front and rear parking sensors
heated seats
usb audio interface
telephone audio interface
voice control
xenons
Sports seats
Aswell as all this it came with a free service and maintence package up until sept 2015 which was a nice added bonus.
So the car came with the later n55 twin scroll turbo engine that gets rid of the dreaded waste gate rattle issue that the earlier twin turbo engines seemed to suffer from.
I was always a manual man but the dual clutch 7 speed box is epic, sports mode changes the feel of the car and the throttle sensivity changes aswell as a new tone form the exhaust and slight blips on down shifting is a nice touch. The engine really is epic, 306bhp feels very refined people seem to mention the lag online but it doesnt seem that present to me, maybe coming from a remaped deccated focus st has something to do with it. The brakes also are worth mentioning not only do they look the part the stopping power is easily better than anything ive owned.
Im aware the cab is the hairdressers choice of spec but in this case it was a comprimise, had it of been purely my car i would have gone coupe no doubt as in my opinion the cab looks alot softer and also not as pretty, but all that said it should be good on a sunny day.
Its not going to be to everyones taste as its not the 'pureists' car but i still have the 182 to jump back into when i fancy a back road drive.

Lovely car.
Your car history is similar to mine, 172, to Mk5 Golf GTi then onto a Focus St
To be fair though, I have had many sheds inbetween but these cars are the ones I was fond of
I would still love a Clio now actually! It would have to be a 'Trophy' though.
yea the clio i spent a lot of time and effort on to get how i wanted, was a proper raw drivers car. Nowadays im just lazy and let the electronics do it for me!Your car history is similar to mine, 172, to Mk5 Golf GTi then onto a Focus St
