Haven't been this excited about a new car in a long time !
Discussion
Hi there.
I have had a few new cars over the years at various times, but can honestly say I have not been this excited about getting a new car before.
I am collecting my new VW Beetle on Saturday.

Its an October 2013 2.0 TDi Design with just 160 miles.
It was specced to the hilt by the first owner who came into some money a few days after taking delivery, he promptly returned to the dealer they bought it back and he went off to buy a new Porsche
The extras are 18" Alloys, Rear Spoiler, Parking Sensors, Sunroof, Sat Nav, Sports Dials, Bi Xenon Headlights and a Fender (as in the guitar maker) sound system
Total price new was over £25k, I am paying just under £18k
The Fender sound system is ace, it gives you a upgraded DAB Sat Nav headunit, 400w 8 speakers plus a subwoofer and ambient illumination round the speakers and door panels which looks great at night (sample pic below)

Part exchanging my current Smart car which has just over 41,000 miles on it all done in the last 16 months.
The Beetle is not everyones cup of tea I know but I think its going to be a hoot and I might even pop along to a few VW shows now in it with my son as his MKII Golf will be back on the road soon.
Should be collecting next weekend all being well so will post some better pics.
Let the p@"s taking commence.
Regards
Tim

I perhaps shouldn't but I do really rather like the new shaped Bettle, and it looks awesome in that interior shot, seems like you've got yourself a good deal; particularly from a dealer also.
One thing that really let's it down in my opinion is the wheels, I just can't get over them. There are some lovely other ones in the Bettle range, but those aren't to my tastes, but hey, we can't all be the same!
Enjoy the car, and please do keep the thread updated, particularly with pictures from VW shows, always a great day out.
